I purchased this during a previous Woot sale over a year ago, to replace one that lasted for about 5 years before that. It’s a very good coffee maker, with easy to use features. One thing to note: my older version’s “ON” switch was a knob that you turned. This newer version has replaced the knob with a toggle switch. I saw some reviews claiming problems with the switch, but that has not been my experience. I think they were just using too much pressure - it only takes a gentle flick up or down. Both of mine were also refurbs, with no issues.
This same model coffeemaker was the first thing I purchased from woot in December 2005. I’ve replaced the basket that holds the coffee filter, but other than that it is still working.
I had one of these for a couple years and did eventually have the toggle switch fail on me. That said, at $50 I’m still considering getting another. It was a great coffeemaker beyond that flaw.
Oldie but a goodie. My wife and I have had this one coming up on 9 years now, it’s reliable and brews good coffee. If it ever breaks I’d probably buy another.
This is the coffee maker I’ve used for years. On my second one now. Simple and effective. But the reason I have it is it’s one surprisingly rare feature: three coffee temp levels. I like it hot!
Can’t remember what I got it for new but it wasn’t much more than this. 60 or 70, maybe.
