The main recurring problem with this camera is the tripod mount. It won’t last. The male screw-in thumb screw barely threads in and eventually wears out. Pyle responded to my suggestions saying that it will be improved in the next model. Hah! I bought a vivitar bar-mount which is the only mount that has lasted. I went through all the Pyle mounts they sent me. Each broke after a few uses on a motorcycle. As far as the camera goes, I like the car-mode which is like an endless-loop. But the camera has problems making a picture when you face the sun. Also, the battery only lasts two hours and it takes so long to recharge. Battery is not replaceable. Overall, very limited usefulness.
How does a Go Pro compare to this? I am in the market for one of these types of cameras. Any issues with the Go Pro that are similar to issues with this Gear Pro video camera?

This item is $1/10 of a GoPro.
If you want a GoPro, go buy one from another seller.
I was fooled once thinking these were the real deal, Go pro. Gear pro doesn’t even turn on.

Got mine yesterday. WiFi does not work - light blinks continuously and never stays on as instructions state. Will not connect to my phone (with app installed) as the WiFi does not work on the camera. The video displays a date and time stamp - I have seen no way to set it (it’s wrong) and no way to turn it off. I would think it may be done via the app and WiFi which doesn’t work. Sent support a request for a return and refund on this one.
Hey I have a question I just received my Gear pro wifi camera everything works great so far but I cannot seem to get the app to work with it do any of you have a solution as I can connect my phone to the camera yet when I got into the app it says no camera is connected ?
This was a very expensive one time use item. It worked well, and even worked with my mac (which I had to hope because the memory card is stuck in it, no getting it out.) But hey I was able to get the pictures off. I plugged it in to charge it, and thats it it has never turned on again. So now I have a tiny camera that won’t turn on that has a 32G class 10 memory card stuck inside. Hopefully I can get my memory card out with out damage to the card. Cause the camera is a worthless piece of junk.
1 time use is right. Worked fine once. After the battery died the first time, never would recharge again. Waited too long and now past the 21 day return window. Seriously crap way to spend $75.
