Seems like I keep seeing the same items over and over. Granted that I don’t visit woot often but when I do it’s leftovers again.

I own the DC25 (refurb) purchased from woot at a higher price. The vacuum looked new upon arrival and my wife and I could not be happier with it. Buy at the new price with confidence.

Here’s a previous Woot discussion on the DC41 All Floors

Does this DC39 canister vacuum woot deal come with any of the attachments?

Great deal for a dc41. This is the one I’ve been waiting for!

I am considering this one. Thanks for the input. It is always great to see a post from someone who actually owns and uses the product.

I’ve purchased two of these Dyson vacuums from Woot - reconditioned. One was a canister, and one was a handheld. Both clogged and failed. In both cases, right after the limited warranty expired. Now they sit in a closet, and I’ve gone back to my Miele. Twice burned by these pieces of garbage. Will never touch another Dyson product EVER. Overpriced Fisher Price toys. I’d get more utility out of the toy Dyson being sold in kids Woot today.

If Dyson is such a quality vacuum cleaner, why do they have so many factory reconditioned items to offer on woot? I believe that Dyson is the most commonly offered product on woot.

Yep. TV then tablet then vacuum then laptop etc. The thing that made woot great was the odd things they found. I still check in once in a while but the spirit of woot is gone.

I have a Dyson animal. My biggest gripe is that the hose end is so narrow that you can’t suck up a broken potato chip with it! As for complaints that they clog I think that’s a problem with the canister and needing to wash it once in a while. Take the bin and dump it and then unlock the bin from the canister and hose it off good under water. You need to wait overnight to use it again but it cleans it well. YouTube has videos on how to do it. Dyson is better than other bagless vacuums but not perfect.

I’ve bought three from Woot - a DC17 in 3/2008, a DC25 in 10/2010, and a DC31 in 7/2011. All three are still going strong. That’s with two Australian Shepherds and a cat the entire time - and all carpet, no hardwood. The things just suck up hair for hours on end and just keep chugging along.

The only thing I’ll buy EVER is a Dyson.

Edit: I think that emptying the bin as soon as it gets to the full mark and regular cleanings go a long way towards my Dyson’s continued excellent service. I’ve run across some folks complaining of loss of suction and then saw pictures of their machines. It was insane - they had the dust bins way passed capacity and had obviously never paid any attention to the canister. Like unangrybird says above - a good canister cleaning can do wonders.

I bought a refurb Dyson from Woot a few years ago and love it.
Arrived looking like brand new.

Now a note to Woot, you need more variety. It seems everytime I visit the site, it’s either refurb Visio TVs, refurb Dysons, or Beats ear buds. Variety is the spice of life.

I wondered the same thing. I need a new vacuum. I tried the canister (purchased from Costco) and disliked it. I was considering an upright, but worry about the number of refurbs I see on here.

Just the Triggerhead Tool:

Triggerhead Tool:

The Triggerhead tool is the only turbine head controlled at the handle
No need to bend down and adjust when moving between floor types
A rotating brush bar deep cleans carpets – push the trigger and it switches off to protect delicate rugs and hard floors

I’m not a shill for Dyson. My only experience so far with the brand is the refurb DC25 I bought here on woot a couple of months ago. I contend that the large number of refurbs is due in part to Dyson’s FANTASTIC customer service.

My DC25 arrived with a really strange canister problem that I won’t go into a bunch of detail about. The point is, one phone call to Dyson’s customer service people (HERE IN THE USA) and an email to them with digital pics of the problem yielded a brand new canister in about 1 week.

This is the best vacuum I’ve ever used. Dyson’s customer service has shown me that they are certainly worthy of my purchase. If they jump like that for anyone with the slightest problem, it could explain a good number of the refurbished units available.

I bought the DC39 last time it was offered. Got the Purple one which is the color of the Animal version. It came with everything listed on Dyson’s website for a new one except for the warranty. It looks brand new.

We’ve bought previous refurb Dysons and have been very pleased with the condition, operation and the rare time I needed it, warranty service. This is our third.

Our DC14 has been around more than five years and still works great, but will now probably go to a relative. Before Dyson, we never had a vacuum last more than a year with all the dogs we have around and vacuuming at least once every day.

This is our first canister vacuum and it’s already becoming the favorite. But it’s nice to have both an upright and canister in a house with a variety of different surfaces.
