Default payment keeps changing to Affirm

I keep trying to check out, but when I select my credit card the screen refreshes and switches to Affirm after a few seconds. I’ve tried multiple times to no avail. Is anyone else having this issue?

Try logging into Amazon and checking to see which payment option you have set as default. You might need to log out, then back in and clear your cache too.

Not necessarily in that order.

Already did that. It didn’t work.

Are you by any chance browsing Woot through the affirm app?

Also try changing your default payment via Amazon.com. Log out. Log back in and change your default payment to whatever you want. Log out of woot. Log back in.

I’m having the same problem. Went to Amazon and my credit card was already set to default. Changed the default to the same credit card. Cleared cache for both Amazon and Woot apps. Also cleared data for both. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Amazon and Woot. Still can’t get the Woot app to stop forcing Affirm no matter what I select for payment method. I guess it’s back to using the website to make purchases, if that’ll let me select something other than Affirm.

I’ve got the same issue. I changed nothing and it’s forcing me to use affirm. Something is on your end. I’m using the app on my iPhone as always…

Works fine in Vivaldi browser on a Windows 11 laptop.

I have an Amazon Prime credit card, but not sure that affects the payment options. Could be a change in how Amazon changed their payment system (pushing their “new” pay over time option and partnership with Affirm).

I have used Affirm a couple years ago for a purchase not related to Amazon or Woot (a purchase directly from Motorola’s website).

Could someone give me a screen shot of the part defaulting to Affirm. Make sure you blur or cover the personal info. :slight_smile:

Interestingly, I placed an order a few minutes ago using the Woot app and it worked normally. Did not see the Affirm option show up, even when I tried changing payment method. Looks like it was something that Amazon did on their end.

Yay! Great news.

If you have this problem it is because the proceed to check out button is above the affirm button. When it shows your payment and has your credit card listed correctly, right below that is an affirm explanation, scroll the up and you will see a continue with affirm button. Now hit checkout( not the affirm button. I may be able to screenshot. I’ll try.
It is almost like it is recognizing the affirm button but not checkout.

So if you scroll up on the pay as low as. It will reveal an affirm button. Once you move it up and away from the continue to checkout, it will keep your card.

Yeah, it started doing this to me in the app today, too.
I used the browser to check out, and now I can’t duplicate the error in the app.
