Where is the ingredients and nutrition label? How many ounces total? The MamaBevs gooey butter cake Woot offered a few days ago included three 26 ounce cakes for $25 and included the ingredients and nutritional information. Hard to compare the offers when this information is not provided. Pass.

We made a mistake in our original shipping estimate (personally, I blame hackers but it’s also possible that I messed up). These will arrive well before the 12/18 “Freeze By” date. I updated the shipping estimate to 12/14 - 12/16, but you will likely receive your cakes before that.
Ingredients: We like to keep things simple. In our cakes you’ll never see over processed ingredients or anything you can’t pronounce and that’s what inspired our Fresh Stuff Promise: “We promise to craft our cakes from scratch, with fresh, all-natural ingredients and vow to never use artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives” And that’s why they taste so darn good!
It’s astonishing that the above would be acceptable to anyone as an ingredients list.
And they don’t even provide the weight. I guess they don’t want to reveal you pay about $30 a pound for what is primarily flour,sugar and butter. The Mama Bevs offer from a few days ago was only about $5 a pound.
I’d highly recommend not paying Brooklyn prices for a St. Louis dessert. One of the reasons this cake is popular here is that it’s super simple and cheap. The recipe is not a secret.
I would like to send this as a gift, however, when I go to checkout, there is no option to choose “this is a gift” and send a greeting so that the recipient does not receive the reciept and they know who it came from. How do you send thisxas a gift?

Generally our items do not include receipts but may include a packing list.

Sure looks good and I like the variety of flavors. I see that it’s a discount from their website, but still a little pricey.
Has anyone tried these before?
My other concern is how sweet is this? The competitor’s cakes offered here were so sweet I couldn’t eat them. I tried, but anything more than a small pinch was simply too sugar-full for my palate.

Sugar is the first ingredient but they don’t provide the nutritional information to let us know the percentage of RDA. They also don’t reveal the percentage of saturated fat. Probably as much or more than Mama Bevs or they’d be more forthcoming with this information.
I prefer the gooey butter cookies Schnucks sells over any of the gooey butter cake I’ve eaten since moving here almost 4 years ago. Recipes for the cake are readily available online in all kinds of variations.
If it’s gooey butter cake, it’s sweet. Very sweet. Most recipes call for two cups of sugar per egg. That’s how it’s intended. It’s typically served in portions that are much smaller than a brownie.
