“Use by 12/15/20”
“Expected delivery 12/16 - 12/18”
[MOD: Technical issue. They should arrive 12/11 or sooner. ]
maybe they’re shipped frozen?
I’m betting that dates off. It’ll be morning until I get an update but these are good at room temp for like 2 weeks and much longer in the fridge or freezer. I’ll ask for an update.
Also, they ship faster than what it shows.
I ordered these here delectables this past summer and noted the same issue with delivery/use by dates. But they arrived about two weeks early so it wasn’t an issue. The cakes are shipped frozen with a few ice packs so they do thaw during their travels but can be refrozen. The colder weather should prevent the cakes from melting as they sometimes did during warmer months. Customer service is top-notch so any problems will be resolved to your liking.
You should also feel fortunate to have flavor options this time around. We had no choice but to accept a mixed case of classic, chocolate and raspberry. While I wouldn’t normally pick raspberry it was surprisingly good.
Warm up a slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a soul-soothing and gut-busting treat.
Bonus: pic of a smiling Mama Bev included with every order. Mine is still on my fridge!
i got these in the warmer weather and they still arrived cool.
they looked good and smelled yummy.
but oh my the sugar sweet…
sticks to your teeth.
it is a good product if you like really sweet stuff.
too sweet for me though.
Mine went into the trash after one tasting. Maybe you’ll like them. Yucky.
Do you accept the challenge? Just kidding… or are we?
We are not sure as to why it says use by 12/15/20 but your cakes can be kept at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 months and can be kept in the freezer for up to 9 months.
You are correct! Our cake are shipped frozen, but are meant to defrost slowly during shipment. Our goal, is so that you can eat them right from the box. The wait was long enough, we don’t like to torture out guest.
Thank you so much for the amazing compliment! We love that Mama Bev is on your fridge.
Although you did not have much of a choice on flavors when you ordered, we are so glad that you enjoyed the raspberry. Thank you so much for the support, messages like yours keep us going!
Our cakes are definitely a decadent treat. We are sorry that you felt they were too sweet for you. Sometimes a nice glass of ice cold milk/milk substitute or black coffee is just the thing to cut the sweetness and make it a match made in heaven.
Oh no! We apologize that you did not enjoy the cakes. We know our cakes are not for everyone. Although we do try! World domina… cough Sharing delight through our decadent cakes is our goal!
I do so love these threads. World domination is a perfectly reasonable goal with these cakes.
World domination… who said world domination… not us …
One very small 3 ounce slice has 40% of the amount of saturated fat and 80% of the sugar anyone should eat in one day. One cake equals 320% and 640% respectively. This could get you before covid but it will appease your sweet tooth.
But what a way to go.
Last time these were offered I tried them out for my first time. It was a combo pack of original, chocolate, and salted caramel. We started with the original, and at first bite I thought… eh, it’s okay… then I microwaved it for approx 20 seconds so it was warmer and gooier. Then I thought Oh okay I can see why people like them.
Next we tried the chocolate. Warmed it up, too, which is better than room temp or cold. But it wasn’t too much of a hit for us personally.
Lastly, we had the salted caramel. Warmed it up a bit, took my first bite, and I melted into a puddle it was sooooo good. Sweet decadence. Fantastic. I do like a cuppa joe with it for a bit of balance. But oh mama, the salted caramel made my life complete!
When we say decadence, we mean it!
