got these in a previous sale. They are very tasty. Mine arrived a bit of a mess up top and warm in weather similar to what lots of USA is experiencing right now, so maybe Mama Bev will throw in some extra ice packs.

Hey, Mama Bev’s person who posts here, how are you doing? Are you feeling better are whatever happened you mentioned not long ago?
St. Louis native. Hate to say it, but these aren’t very good. Much too sugary. Too little gooey, buttery. I ordered them hoping for a taste of home. I was very disappointed.
Are you able (or bribe a friend) to make your own? The land of Pinterest and Food Network are having love affairs with ooey gooey butter cakes, recipes galore. I haven’t gotten the impression they are overly difficult.
It would be lovely to have a taste of home 
I didn’t notice those cheeks until I read your caption! I laughed so hard I snorted and wheezed! Such a cutie. Now you know why it seems your kettlebells are slightly different than where you left them!! 
I ordered this last time and ended up tossing them. It’s all sugar and too sweet for me.
So, if my calculations are close, a 2x3.6" slice of this gives you 74% of the recommended total daily sugar allowance. Wow!
I’ve never had other butter cake to compare to, but I 100 agree. WAY too much sugar. I’ve got a sweet tooth, but this stuff almost gave me the beetus after a few bites.
Butter is the absolute LAST ingredient , which means almost none. How do you get away with calling this a BUTTER cake ?
Enriched bleached flower cake doesn’t sound as good off the tongue as butter cake?

Thank you for saying this - everyone was raving about them so I thought I was the only one who wasn’t impressed. I got the assortment of three chocolate ones, and one is still in my freezer. If we liked them, they’d be long gone by now! The last one will probably go to my family reunion next month. Give all the kids a ginormous sugar buzz.
I personally loved the cakes I’ve bought from Mama Bev, but everyone has their own opinion. I’ve seen them recommend cutting the sweetness with something else… ice cream, maybe? I can’t remember.
It’s been a while since I’ve bought one of Mama Bev’s cakes, but I enjoyed them immensely. Perhaps too much so, if that’s possible. I thought about sharing but definitely devoured them well before any debate about best by dates occurred. YMMV
