Since these are scratch and dent, wouldn’t it be nice if there were some photos of the actual scratches and dent models?
The lowest price of this is $81 for 64GB Pixel 2 XL after 10% prime discount.
I’ve bought two scratch & dent phones off here and neither came with any notable scratches or dents. I’d suggest you worry more about whether this is the model or color phone you want than the physical condition. If anything were bad, Woot wouldn’t be selling it to you.
These are way better than any Samsung phone; they’ll update immediately to Android 10 the moment you power them on and connect them to your WiFi. Handy & user-friendly.
Explain how you get a price of $81 for the 2XL??
I’ve bought 2 of the XL used in the past. Usually burn in at the bottom of the screen is the worst you see. I don’t use screen protectors but like Spigen cases. I never notice any scratches even as rough as I use them or with other junk in my pocket.
These probably won’t work on Visible. They were ok when I signed up but then a Google update broke something with their service for many. They sent us Pixel2 users a free Pixel 3a to deal with issue.
Does Google ever continue making updates available beyond their official support period?
Pixel2 is scheduled to stop getting updates after October.
Does anyone on staff know if these are the Verizon or Google branded pixels? If it’s the Google branded phones it’s a great cheap phone that you can have lineage running on it in 5 minutes and will get updates for probably another 3 or 4 years. Cheapest Google XL in good condition with 64gb on swappa is 125. 128 is 150. 2 is 108.
Is screen burn included in “scratch and dent”?
I’ve always been an Android owner but I’m switching to iPhone. It’s ridiculous that Google limits their own phones from updates after a few years.
You can’t get the larger version for the cheaper price. The smaller phone with the smaller capacity is cheaper, the larger capacity but smaller phone and the larger phone but smaller capacity are the more expensive ones.
Description states they were made for Verizon.
I’m not on the staff, but the description says:
Although made for Verizon, this is the US version of this phone and is compatible with major US carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Please see the link below for specifics regarding your plan of choice.
I’ve purchased two previously from Woot, and neither allows the bootloader to be unlocked.
Apple does the same thing after a few years. You may have a little longer but eventually Apple will stop updates to an older phone too.
What is the model number on these phones?
I guess reading is your friend. That’s the problem with viewing on the app when your not used to it. I would rather spend the extra 20 bucks for the Google branded phone especially with it being that close to the end of support. There are some convoluted hacks for the Verizon branded 2 to unlock the bootloader via downgrade and exploit but my time is more valuable than that.
Hello, No- These units will have zero screen burn. The scratches & dent will be extremely minimal as well.
How do I get the 10% prime discount? Logged in with prime and not seeing the diff in cart.
I’m not sure what he means. ![]()
