I noticed the same thing – for someone shopping for a laptop, that’s a pretty big difference between the two different kinds and sizes of drives.

FWIW, the regular listings on Amazon for the same model seem to show it typically with a 250GB or 320GB SATA drive, and usually nothing about SSDs, at least where I’m looking.
And, thus far, no correction or clarification on the item’s website listing.
Yeah, for $220, I really have a hard time believing that this comes with a 128 GB SSD - even if it’s a refurb.
Still, this is a pretty good laptop. Resolution kinda sucks (what can you expect at this price?) but the brushed aluminum feels really nice. Sturdy as hell, too. This is the computer I was given to use at the office, and it survived a drop in the parking lot.
For 200 nope, for the 1299 this retailed for 3 years ago, yep. Manufacturers need to stop cramming crap resolution panels into laptops, especially when the upgrade to better specs is usually only 50 dollars retail.
Most likely not. Computers rarely come with recovery disks now. Refurbished computers are reimaged which usually loses the partition, if it was present.
You can make your own set of disks by googling for instructions from HP.
I have the earlier EliteBook 6930p, also supports 8 GB RAM. One slot is under the keyboard, the other is accessible from the bottom hatch. Each takes up to 4GB. Mine takes the DDR2 200 pin. This one takes DDR3.
NEWEGG - BIGGER HDD: Also has webcam which i suspect this one does too although it says it doesn’t. HP EliteBook 8460p laptop 14" Notebook with New Battery: Intel Core I5 2nd Gen 2.53Ghz (3.06Ghz Turbo), 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, DVDRW, Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit [Microsoft Authorized Recertified]
Wow, didn’t notice that on the spec sheet earlier. I’m typing on one of these laptops right now, and it definitely has a webcam. You can even see it in Woot’s picture…
I think Woot needs to be a bit more careful when typing up their spec sheet. :S
