This would be perfect if it had an RTX 30xx series GPU.
True… but then it wouldn’t be on Woot.
If you mean Nvidia gaming cards then I think they’re called 30 series
rtx 3000 is a quadro mxm laptop card
I know this is a Woot point, but you guys are going to have to be more specific about the hardware:
What is the speed of the RAM, 1 TB SSD ( is that SATA or pcie Nvme over M.2?). Is the power supply +80 gold certified? What else is wrong with it, is the hardware refurbished? Did ya do something to it? Lol
Unfortunately, that’s not even a woot! thing.
As far as I can tell from looking up the model number for this pre-built, that’s exactly how other storefronts have been listing it as well.
Condition: New
Everything else, if you want that level of detail you will need to build the PC yourself or use a builder that lets you pick and choose the parts.
If you can do with a newer 6 core instead of an older 8 and are near one Microcenter has a Powerspec 5600x w an RTX 3060, 16 gb 2666 (kind of slow), 500 gb NVMe ssd, ASUS B550M-A/AC mobo for ~$1500
Also another brand with 32 gb 3200 and a 1tb NVMe for ~1700
I don’t have this specific PC, but I did buy an IBuyPower from Costco a couple years ago. It has been nothing but trouble. Within the normal 1 year warranty they replaced the cooling fan, (I did that myself so as not to ship it off). But that didn’t fix the overheating, so they swapped out the graphics card, that didn’t fix it either. So they wanted to replace the CPU. I shipped it out for that and it worked fine for just long enough to go out of the year warranty. Then the CPU cooling fan they replaced went bad, making an awful clicking sound. This is where the real issue started. IBP wouldn’t honor the part they replaced, or even sell me the part. The customer service is slow and unprofessional. I seems likes its some surfer dudes who don’t really take their job serious. I won’t buy another computer of this brand, ever.
this is a pretty terrible deal when you can get the ABS challenger on Newegg with the exact same CPU but with a much better RTX 3060ti for only $20 more
Speaking of Microcenter I picked up this gaming system for my daughter. She’s loving everything about how it performs. She can VR on it and play just about any game like GTA V online and Valorant.
$2300
Yep that’s the price for pretty much better everything.
I would absolutely avoid this brand like the plague. Look at their BBB reviews. You can expect this thing to arrive broken and no support what-so-ever.
Mostly horror stories about the GPU or RAM backing out from the mobo during shipping or the PC is DOA
Similar experience for me, just not quite as bad. I had a video card fail, so they shipped a replacement, and I replaced it, but the card didn’t fit very well with the way they put everything in the case, which is probably why the first one failed. They were slow and just didn’t seem to really be focused on support, and it wasn’t a quality build from the beginning - just felt cheap.
