I know there is nearly no chance for the Dragon to win, but seriously, just thinking about the anime hacks getting two more wholly undeserved prints with what is some of their worst work yet makes me nauseous, so I’m praying for a miracle.
SDS has the difference between Kitsune and Drakxxx a mere 16 votes.
I will remain hopeful.

Adder Derby Stats saw Dragon out of the fog not 15 minutes before the end of the derby.
If Drakxxx takes it, there can’t be more than a 10 point spread between 3rd and 5th. One more reason multiple accounts need a good banning. Or woot’s voting scheme needs a total reworking. Preferably both.
I think the vote totals are a bit low. Ramyb’s most likely retook 1st place.
Sad for Drakxxx. I won’t be buying any of these shirts, but I really wanted his and tgentry’s to get printed.
I actually think the vote estimates may be a bit high, from what I was seeing myself. I think the rankings are probably right, but 3rd place could definitely go either way- judging by how things were this morning, this could definitely be a situation very similar to 1928, where nobody knew where it was in the fog and it ended in 4th. Kitsune certainly was not doing particularly well for the past few days, and Drakxxx got an intense boost this morning. Don’t count him out just yet.

I’ve hated that site every since they told me 1928 was a surefire pick for third.
I think their vote totals for this derby are WAY off. As of this posting, they have ALL shirts under 900, with Monkey in 1st at 869, Alphabet in 2nd at 867, Fox at 816, and Dragon/Styx right around 800. That just doesn’t sound quite right.
Granted, I haven’t been keeping a close eye on what the hotness is showing, but the Monkey and Fox have been there for a while. The alphabet climbed back up pretty quickly. I thought the Dragon had been a bit more cemented than it was when it fell from the fog.
I guess we’ll see.

I just got another one of my patented Unnecessary Woot Suggestion ideas. What if the order they posted the shirts in was random? I don’t know what it would fix or accomplish. It’d make it slightly more exciting for me.

i look on the derby page the first day of print and they have the actual number of votes for each design sitting out in the open. at least they had done that before the format change. i’d say look again this weekend.
SDS is a double-edged sword. You follow it, getting your hopes up if it looks good, but if it’s wrong, you get your hopes up only to be let down. But yet it’s so hard not to look to see what it says. XD
SDS isn’t perfect…it can’t be. Woot has the derby set up with the fog that way on purpose.

Yes. Those multiple accounts that there’s no evidence exist sure are a problem.
I don’t like either sekiyou or ramyb’s shirts as much as some of their past work - A is for Atlas is a poster, not a shirt, and Kitsune iss, though attractive, not my style at all. But honestly, 5-7th? Are worse. They’re just not good shirts. At all. Once you get past 7th you get some treats, but honestly? Persephone in the Garden of Hades is pretty good. One Too Many Apples is OK, but below BootsBoots’s usual standards. I hate An Empire is Born. The first shirt on the list that I can unabashedly say I really love is “Zeus Extincts a Dinosaur.”
It was a lousy Derby overall. Singling sekiyou and ramyb out for particular badness is ridiculous. Nobody was impressive this round.

You know, I did some quick math the other night, and with the Seki/Ramy shirts currently available (as of Sunday, so before this week’s Reckoning) they had made somewhere in the ballpark of fourteen thousand dollars.
That’s … well, it’s definitely SOMETHING.
