Recently purchased the 55" LG OLED B2 from Sam’s for $749. Very worthy. Spectacular picture.

Are these factory refurbished? Who refurbishes them?

Hi there. They are not factory refurbished. They’re refurbished by one of our vendors.

Here’s our guide:

So is it that factory refurbished as you described? And which warranty manufacturer or woots 90 day?

You said just like new but not so sure…

She absolutely did not say that. She described vendor refurbished

The sale reads

Warranty: 90 Day Woot Limited Warranty

You can also get an additional warranty

Optional Asurion Protection Plan: To further protect your purchase, you can buy an Asurion protection plan from Amazon here. Review the FAQs for additional information.

Hope this helps!

She said here are the types and gave one type…maybe I’m missing some of the conversation

Right, she was giving the general definitions. Not the definition for this particular item. She said;

She has to post those refurb types and definitions a lot.

It’s Late Friday nite, I’m sure she’ll be back by some day.

I’m a bit confused. Are we sure an extended warranty can be applied?

It reads “Scratch & Dent and Open Box Clearance products are not eligible for Asurion protection plan. These items are still eligible for the[ 90-day Woot limited warranty ]”

This item has a 90-day Woot limited warranty. The way it’s worded would infer that it falls into the scratch and dent or open box category rendering it not eligible for an extended warranty.

I don’t work for Woot, but I do know if they link to the Asurion warranty in the sale, the item is eligible.

Additionally, if it were “scratch and dent” there would be an orange warning label in the sale as well. This, too, I know from prior sales.

I really think you’re overthinking thinking this.

Woot customer service is great, any time I’ve had an issue with something, they have worked hard to resolve the issue so if you do happen to have a problem I think they’ll fix it

Trust me, Imma internet stranger

As I stated, these are not factory reconditioned. You’re supposed to click on that link to see the entire guide with definitions for all the various conditions.

this one is refurbished. If you click the link, you’ll see:

Refurbished – “Refurbished” covers everything from buyers’ remorse returns to products whose defects have been repaired by the pros to damaged packaging to discontinued items. Each product comes backed by a vendor warranty OR our very own Woot! Warranty . Refurbished items may show some minor wear from previous use.

we list the warranty at the bottom of the features. this has:

Warranty: 90 Day Woot Limited Warranty

These are neither open box nor scratch-n-dent so they are eligible for the Asurion protection paln.

Thanks @therealjrn! Appreciate the help.

Went to pull trigger and noticed that Woots Limited Warranty states:
If your product is covered under a Woot warranty, a Woot Member Services Representative will issue you an RMA number to return the product to Woot; you are responsible for shipping the product to Woot at your expense.

So if the TV shows up broken then I am responsible to pay for return shipping. That seems pretty bad.

Does anyone know if they will force that in the event of a DOA?

I’ve never seen them make anyone pay to ship anything back. They seem to always cover the cost, despite what their own verbiage says, haha.

Woot covers shipping unless you abuse the system, from what I understand. If it arrives DOA, I’m sure Woot will work with you.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
