per the reviews (2023) you may want to check the EMF rating on this
I’m more concerned about the reports of the blanket turning on by itself and burning. Glad I read the reviews, this product sounds dangerous.
I have an infrared tent sauna that I was using but it took up a bit of space in my small place so I got this exact blanket a while back to possibly replace it. People have to make their own decisions and research EMF issues and decide if they want to use these types of products so I’m not bringing that up here. My tent sauna goes up to 140 degrees and is a full walk in model, not the one that has your head sticking out.
This was advertised as having a max around 175. You’d never know that. I started in the 130s and thought the blanket might be defective. It was hardly warm. I had to max out the heat and after 20 minutes was still not sweating. I read many similar comments in various places. A major concern was no matter the temp I set, the remote got extremely hot to the touch and was alarming. It’s plastic. I have no idea how it did not warp. I mean, that thing got hot. I think someone on the mothership had a pic included with their review showing that the remote had melted. The few times I used the blanket, I had a small fan blowing directly at the remote.
This company has a FB page and verifies that you own one of their products before approving you to join. It has a sort of Peloton vibe in that you’re all cool and groovy if you use their products. I posted my concerns and questions about the product and they did not approve my post on the site. They messaged me privately and asked that I email them. I did that and never heard back.
Eventually, I cut the cables and disposed of the product.
ETA: I just now remembered when I purchased the product that if you registered it on their site just after purchase, you’d get a free carry bag for it. I did that and they never sent the bag. That was another big issue: people never got the bag and they did not reply to inquiries about that.
