Lodge 12" Cast Iron WOOT Skillet

So cool! I’d totally get one if I didn’t have virtually the identical skillet already (sans ! on the bottom.)

I love my cast iron cookware, but my wife would kill me if I bought yet another one to weight down the kitchen with.

Not a bad deal for one that is preseasoned too.

I really like this, it is a bit too expensive for my taste though.

can someone please explain why this is a deal?

Yes…I got a cast iron from Bensoutlet for half this price.

I love my cast iron woot skillet, my steak comes out perfect every time. Don’t even get me started with the cornbread! Scrum-dilly-yumcious! Cooks evenly and cleanup is a breeze.

I actually have the non-woot version in my Amazon wish list already… the woot logo certainly makes it a conversation piece, but, uh… I think the $6 difference will ultimately come up in that conversation…

That one doesn’t have the Woot! logo on it. Different item.

I can’t believe someone actually bought this…

Any experience good/bad using these on a glass top range? The ‘ridge’ around the bottom looks like it might be an issue for a glass top.

I’ve been wanting this since Woot first sold it and now I finally broke down and got it :stuck_out_tongue:

QUALITY! That’s why! This will last generations. My mom have had hers for over 60 years.

It says in the description the ridge may be a prob for some stoves…

I bought one of these 10 months ago. It’s fully seasoned now and is the last cast iron frying pan I’ll ever need to buy. I calculate the small, and worthwhile, premium I paid for the Woot! logo at about 10 cents/year.

The Lodge skillet I bought a few months ago, had a rough finish inside, unlike cast iron pans of long ago…

4 sheets of sandpaper on my sander did a great job to fix that…

I did have to reseason it, though (easy to do).
