What’s the firmness of this mattress and the difference between this and the 10" or 12" thick ones?

I have one of the 10" mattresses and love it! Was hesitant to buy it not having felt it and it is great. Just ordered a second one!

I bought the 10" from the last sale, and the mattress is comfy; however, it smells musty. Not the initial chemically odor you get when you first open it, but a much longer-lasting musty smell. I brought it in as soon as it was left at my gate, and opened it the same day. No chance it got wet.

I bought the king size of this last time it was on. Wow, I LOVE this mattress! Extremely comfortable. Be aware it is heavy-felt sorry for the poor UPS guy dragging it upstairs. I am getting another in queen for the guest room. Amazing value.

Very interested - I have several questions please:

  1. I know absolutely nothing about this kind of bed or mattress - I have a brass bed frame or set that has two side channels in which several wood slats (4 or 5 slats maybe) are laid or fitted cross ways or in opposite (90*)direction to form a foundation in to support sleeping springs and or mattresses. * My main question is do I have to have a box spring foundation or can your gel foam mattress be laid directly on the wood slats for the needed or appropriate support please?

  2. **I am a 100% Disabled Veteran and do not have the bed frame (the Brass ends, the channels, and wood slats)set up presently in which to install or set the bed/mattress on. It will take me about a week to get some help over here to set up the Brass Bed…Can shipping be held off for at least a week in order for me to get this done please?

  3. I see mention of thicker mattresses in some of the questions or comments here - are 10 or 12 inch mattresses more appropriate for back and side sleepers, and are they available at sale prices here on Woot also?

I am interested but have questions. Who is the manufacture? Also do you have MSDS/SDS on foams? Just want confirm material vs any VOC off gassing.

I was wondering if anyone has problems with solvent outgassing with this product. I’m very interested in it but have heard lots of comments about the smell.

I have had one for quite a while now from a prior sale.

It doesn’t smell long and the odor is not that bad and I’m pretty sensitive to smell. I did immediately bag mine in a microfiber mattress bag because I do that to all my mattresses.

It’s quite comfortable but totally different than a normal mattress. If you jump on this thing it won’t make you bounce back, it will just suck you in.

I sleep great on it. Mine is on normal box springs (king).

There IS a bit of memory sag in mine. It dips where I sleep and my Wife sleeps with a bit of a raise in the middle.

All in all, you can’t beat this deal with a baseball bat. I’d highly recommend.

I have a question in regards to the shipping box size. I have a small car so wondered if cousineaud or anyone who bought one before, has the box dimensions (Queen size). More than likely I’ll have to pick it up from USPS/Fedex etc. Thanks much.

I bought the 12" one last woot.

It came wrapped like a giant fruit roll-up in air sealed plastic. It was VERY heavy and bulky (did not come in a box). Took two people to carry it comfortablly but it did fit in my car back seat.

Smell went away in a few days.

I will say I was VERY disappointed with mine. Soft as a marshmallow and very saggy even though I have it on a board with frame and lots of support underneath. Never again for a mail order mattress for me at any price. YMMV.
