Glad they offered this for Macs this time. 
I appreciate Woot recognizing the Mac people. I’m trading in my MacBook for a cheaper Mac Mini that is still 2x as fast and half the price. Apple silicon is too fast for Intel. I thought about getting some Microsoft products, but the Mac stuff is already downloaded and free. This bundle would be good for work purposes though.
A lot of the reviews (almost all of the most recent ones at least) say it doesn’t work on Mac, and I noticed the link with download instructions doesn’t include Mac. Does anyone know if this actually works?

impatient wooter learned his lesson. However when he follows instructions and double clicks setup.exe, nothing happens.

I would say try again. The download is on Microsoft’s site. We don’t have anything to do with that.
Tried again, nothing. setup.exe won’t open on my macbook
I don’t use a Mac so I’m not sure what kind of files it uses but setup.exe sounds like a Windows kind of file.
Can a Mac user clarify here? Maybe there’s another file you are supposed to run?

Thunderthighs repost above works. You need to create or log in to a microsoft account, redeem the product key, download, run word, then, when prompted to sign in with 365, look below and select I already purchased and sign in with the same microsoft account.
