Microsoft Office Professional 2021 for PC

In previous offerings of licenses, for Win10, Win11, Office, there have been reports of problems encountered in trying to apply them that involved invalid and/or previous used licenses. That caused immediate issues but also meant licenses purchased for future use might be useless. Some buyers seemed to just go with the flow while others were totally surprised. Has Woot learned from that before offering its customers these? Or is that sort of problem now part of our marketplace?

I bought one of these licenses last year that included 3 devices. So far it has worked flawlessly. It sure beats subscription service. My previous employer (I’m retired) provides me with exchange email so owning Outlook and its calendar/email/contacts functions makes it a no brainer. Even if it blows up next year, I save money over the subscription service. Note: I paid $21 for my 3 device license.

The main problems were in 2023. Those issues have been resolved. Just make sure you follow our instructions for installation.

Don’t buy!! I have purchased other places and never had a problem until now! It turns out mine was a bogus code.

Make sure you follow the linked instructions to download.

I bought this last year and followed instructions and installed easily. It worked great until I decommissioned my PC and wanted to put it on a new one - that is where it does not work. The key does not show in your MS account so it seems to be tied to the PC and not your MS account, preventing use on a new PC.
So if you plan to upgrade your PC soon, perhaps think twice.

Yes, it’s licensed to one PC. If you want to move it, you have to unregistered it on the old computer first. Google how to transfer Office to a new comoutrr. Plenty of info out there.

I followed the directions, all it downloads is an img file that I cant open. there was nothing that said “Mount” in anything that I tried. I had a word document on my computer that anytime I open it asks for a code. so I gave it the one in the email, it did some update and now that works so I can edit it. Then I just kept clicking links until I got one that said something about apps. so now i have word, excel and power point. They open with out a passcode so I am assuming it works. 000000000000000000000000000000000000000

sorry about the zeros. I didn’t realize they were there before I hit reply.

Use this or look up image mounting software and see if you want to pay for a product.

This is what I used for years when I sailed the high seas. YARRRR!!! It always worked with no problems.

problem is I already paid for THIS product. I don’t want to mount anything. it’s part of the installation directions. down load, right click choose mount… there is no mount anywhere in the right click. I read it all and click see more since mount is missing, nothing in the see more either. now I have 2 of these on my desk top (Because I thought maybe I downloded it wrong) and I can’t trash them because it says it’s running.

The devices were written with the assumption that the computer being used is able to mount .img files.

Not every computer can do that out of the box, so you’d need to install other software which could.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

You are downloading an image file of a physical disk. In order to use the “disk” to install the program you must have a program that is capable of creating a virtual drive so that the “disk” can be mounted and accessed the same way that you would put a disk in a tray.

Your other option is to use a program that can burn that image file to a physical disk. For that you will need to check the size of the image file and choose the appropriate size of media to burn it to.

The easiest way is to just use DT Lite and mount the file so that you can follow the rest of the directions to install Win11.

I have windows 11. I wanted word. the code worked to activate the one installed on the computer… good enough.

I followed the instruction and received this error - saying that the code has already been activated a maximum number of times. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Download Office 2021 disc image file

  2. Mount disc image file

  3. Open disc folder, run setup.exe

  4. After installation completes, open Word

  5. Prompted to enter product key

  6. Activate online

  7. Received the above error message

The delivery method was a bit odd. Then, the instructions were wonky and quite a bit off.

As it worked out, I downloaded the file. Right clicked to open it (seemed to be the only viable option), then clicked on the execute file option. All the programs downloaded and I signed in on Word with the key provided.

Next, there was an option to update the programs, so I did that.

Everything seems to be just fine. Last, I deleted the file originally downloaded.

All seems well except for the fact that certain of the programs open with a notation they are Office 2021 and others bear an Office 365 tag. Kind of odd.
