What is the date on manufacture on these? Thanks.

The box in the picture says best if used by Jan 2019 …of course, there’s not telling if that’s an up to date picture or not. :-\

I’m no expert, but the ones I’ve gotten for camping were tasty.

Mountain house is one of my favorite brands for freeze dried and I take them backpacking very often.

Note that based on the picture, the dinner meals are the 4.8oz-50z sizes which are considered 2-2.5 serving and definitely hearty enough for a big dinner. The scrambled egg breakfasts are a little iffy but if you use a bit less water or drain it they aren’t too bad.

The price looks very good to me - the dinner pouches go for $8-9 regularly and you can occasionally get them for ~$6 which gets you to to about the price here. They’re basically throwing the breakfast meals in for free.

What’s the date of manufacture?

Because if DOM was 9 years ago …

Hmmm:

the pouch shelf life – where the quality of food is nearly indistinguishable from new production – is at least 10 years from the date of manufacture

Warranty: 90 Day Woot Limited Warranty

Too old. Tasty for 3 or 4 more years. I want something for a little longer. No wonder these are for sale.
