Mr. Coffee Single-Serve Coffee Maker Powered by Keurig

$79 for a new one on Amazon

I have this and it works great.

Wow, it’s loud!

How long does it take to brew a cup, compared to the traditional Mr. Coffee pots?

Edit: Sorry, I missed the product manual’s already linked in the description. The product page link is not. Facepalm.

That’s the quite part of the brewing!
It kind of sounds like a jet engine firing up when its heating the water.
Here is a better video can hear it

yesterday I asked this question:

do I have ESP?

Keurig cups are alot more expensive then buying a can of coffee. I like being able to buy any type of bean at any time and using it. Also seem to be many complaints of having to brew twice just to get one mug of coffee.

Perfect for the office. In for one.

I have this exact Keurig. Its a little slower than the Keurig brand taking about 90-100 seconds compared to the 60 seconds they advertise.

Does anyone know how large the reservoir is? It doesn’t look like it holds much at all.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Keurig MINI Plus brewer? We have one at work and it is awesome. But why does Mr. Coffee make Keurig powered brewers? Should Keurig just make them???

Agreed. In addition to the high cost, lack of control on the brew and noise, IMHO, the extra trash created by the use of these is an abomination. I thought the idea was we’re supposed to be working to reduce our usage of plastics, yet companies keep inventing ways of using more.

From what i gather it has no resevoir, you dump water in when you want to brew a cup

so this coffee maker will wake you up(with its roaring) even before you ingest the caffeine! now that’s just terrific service!

That’s correct you pour in 8 ounces of water each time you brew.

You reminded me of the OLD Saturday Night Live skit about “Mr. Tea” from Father Guido Sarducci. I can’t find the video, only transcript and pictures:

Good night!

The wife would be interested in this to replace our old Tassimo, but she claims the Keurig single-cup makers only make weak coffee. Is this capable of brewing a strong cup?

you can only make a 6, 8, or 10 ounce cup of coffee. the little cups only hold so much ground coffee. if you prefer stronger flavored coffee you make a 6 oz one. but you can also get k-cups with tea and hot cocoa, not just coffee.

i drink 1 12-14 oz cup of stronger/bolder coffee every day so these things arent for me. if they make larger 1-cup models i might be swayed but i dont want to brew this thing twice in a row to get my daily fix. i make 32 oz in a press pot every other day.

Save $30 compared to Amazon.

Reviews look pretty good too, and the noise level is apparently not as bad as the previous comments have made it out to be. Jet engine = 120 Db, this thing’s nowhere near that.

In for one.
