These laptops support Windows 11 so maybe I can get lucky with 32GB of ram.

My personal suggestion is to pick one of these guys instead. 10th gen i7, 8+ GB RAM, 14" 1080p display, Win 10 pro (based on specs, should be easy to upgrade to Win 11 pro), 256 GB SSD. Each less than the price of the gamble here.
And you, you are the true hero. ![]()
Another option is dellrefurbished.com. (Usually only worth it, when they have a sale.)
Right now: i5-10400H , 8Gb $220
I forgot about Dell Refurbished, but I wouldn’t bite the $220 model. It appears to have a sub-1080p display. The $240 model has 16 GB of RAM and 1080p, so that would be my choice. I should also note that this laptop, despite having an i5, is actually more powerful than the i7s that I linked before, though that’s at the cost of a much higher TDP (so likely less battery life, unless it has a larger battery as well).
I’ve been buying from them for work for … uh, decades now. At my current work, over 2/3rds of the computers came from there.
The computers come from lease returns by the Dell Financial division. I figure that they’d keep the best ones to resell themselves first, with the computers in poorer condition getting sold off in bulk to other refurbishers.
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
I don’t care if it’s free I wouldn’t give Windows 11 to my worst enemy.
Worst enemy is a double negative, so best friend?
You’re an old cat.
