Don’t get duped like I did last time. This is the 1st Gen 2018 model, not the newest one from 2021.
The remote is newer, but the hardware isn’t. Them calling it New and 3rd Gen tricked me, and I didn’t find that out until the next morning, when Woot wouldn’t allow a refund.
Woot could have easily put the Gen on the specs sheet. But nope, you have to go cross reference the hardware to find out this 6 year old model became outdated 3 years ago.
Edit: I see they added the generation to the specs sheet. Much appreciation for the update, ThunderThighs!
Shame on woot! Just did that comparison and it’s definitely the slow 2018 model stick, with the newer 3rd gen remote. Do Not Buy!!!
And what’s the difference between this and the $16.99 Firestick they have listed?

Awww man, you just made me realize I got super duped by this a few months back! I paid more AND it was refurbished 
No wonder trying to use this fire stick with a luna controller was absolutely atrocious.

I didn’t realize Woot allowed returns, but I see now that apparently changed several years back. I thought the policy was still “if it isn’t damaged or defective, tough luck.”

I bought the refurb unit also sild in this event. I specifically asked what year it was and was presented with a link to a model that was released in 2021. Imagine my surprise when a day later the listing was changed to say it was the 2018 model. Back it goes and Woot can eat the return shipping.
