I was reading some info about this booster on some other site and it said that this will jump any 12v lead acid battery. Does this mean it will not work for AGM batteries? I use Optima AGM in all my cars.

Before you buy, I would recommend watching this review. Yes, his voice can be a bit much, but is methods and videos are excellent!

Just want to point out that he is comparing the 1500 peak amp Audew to the GB40 which is 1k peak amp. NOCO makes a 1500 amp model the GB50 and Audew makes a 1k amp model. Maybe he just didn’t have access to the comparable models, but this is not a fair comparison.
I own the GB40 and I’ve been very happy with it. I was able to jump our mason’s work van on a below freezing February day. It’s also saved my bacon more than once when camping. The Audew may be better but I can’t really conclude that from this video.

Somewhat fair points, but the tested Noco did not even turn over the engine that others did. Also, the prices were all comparable, so dollar for dollar still superior.

I watched the approximately 22 minute video and that dude rocks! It also confirmed that the item for sale today is complete junk and I have to rethink what I’m carrying in my trunk. Thank you for your post. Now to hit the mothership and find the Audew
I just bought the NOCO GB40 portable jump starter…I’ve been reading some very negative stuff about it and all I can say is, in my experience (so far), I have had a GREAT experience with this product!!! I got the item quickly, plugged it in to complete the charging process and then, after it was completely charged, a day or so later, I used it to jump start my sisters used, OLD Honda Accord that had a battery that was so dead, it didn’t register with the GB40!!! Used the manual override and bingo, bango and the car was running - hardly used any of the power from the Jump Starter…I don’t know anything about any of the other ones people are raving about, but for under $70, this one was a great deal as far as I’m concerned!!!
I just got one of the GB40s by NOCO - love it!!! So far, it’s worked extremely well for me…I would highly recommend it to anybody!!
