Leaning towards picking up a set, the desert wine sounds delicious and I’m not very familiar with dolcetto. My only hesitation is the age on the reds; are they built to last or are they over the hill?

There was mixed case of Pavi a while back that had some nicely aged Dolcettos (8-9 years old) and all were wonderful.
In the past 2 years or so the 2005-2009 Pavi dolcetto’s have all be available on woot. I’ve bought all of them and they’ve all been delightful. The 05 is only just getting to be over the hill but still drinks pretty well.
I’m not a big fan of desert wines so I’m sitting this one out. I would like to see another Pavi offering soon though, I need to re-stock.
Got that case of Dolcetto’s last time and loved them. Great QPR and they held up to the age even though Dolcetto is more often a “drink young” wine. I’m not much for dessert wine though so this is a pass for me.

I bought a set for my wife to try, not her favorite but I enjoyed it. I shared a bottle with some friends in August and they loved it.
2 bottles at $20 each leaves $45 for the 4 bottles of Dolcetto, various vintages have been on Woot many times, sometimes for less, more recently at the same price.
This is a nice deal IMO.

These wines are made to last and evolve. Dolcetto usually not so much but when made in our style they work well, Gorgeous wine. My go to especially this time of year. easy to pair with so many dishes. Table winner.
Vin santo is a beast of its own. Should be on every dessert table.
Age is non issue. We will show this wine again in ten years. LOL
Ripe apricot pear peach caramel no new oak. aged in neutral oak. fun wine. a passion wine. we
keep the cellar happy with these tasty barrels.

This Vin Santo is terrible. I got it on woot a few months ago when they were just offering a set of 4. Unless you really like the other wine, don’t get conned into taking this garbage off their hands.
You can’t just drop a comment like that without further explanation. What was terrible about the wine? Was it spoiled? Corked? Madeirized? Turned to vinegar? Leaky?
Or was this a wine that was sound, but you didn’t care for? If you didn’t care for it, that’s fine…it would be helpful to me and to others to detail what you did and did not like about the wine. Was it too sweet? Too acidic? Too raisin-flavoured? Gave you a nasty hangover? A fly got in and ruined the bottle? 
Must just be too used to two buck chuck to appreciate a decent bottle.
