Pyle Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker Price: $39.99 Shipping Options: $5 Standard Shipping Estimates: Ships in 3-5 business days (Monday, Feb 24 to Thursday, Feb 27) + transit Condition: New
I found the range to be significantly shorter than expected. It has reception problems from my iphone with just my body in between.
The photos make it look like the speaker grill has a cool anodized finish. The orange one I bought has a flat orange paint finish, NOT anodized like in the photos. I could never find mention of this anywhere so thought it would help people to know.
I ordered one of these a few months ago for my shower and absolutely love it. Great battery, sound, bass etc. Fair warning on the warranty tho:
Upon my recommendation, my brother bough one - also from woot - and it arrived with a blown speaker. Since it’s under the 1 year warranty from Pyle, we contacted them, and basically you have to pay to ship it to them in Brooklyn, and include a check for $15 dollars for return s/h. Assuming it costs the same amount to send it to them and they replace it with no problems, his speaker just went from $40 to $70 (a 75% increase in price).
So all in all, great speaker when it works, but if you have to deal with a warranty, expect to pay for the repair/replacement.
Good speaker but if it breaks it will cost you over $20 for shipping and return shipping. Then when you finally get it back… Still broke and now you have a $70 Pyle after shipping 3 times and taxes

Spent the money for shipping and received a still broken speaker
I bought one of these a short time ago at a past Woot offering. I am really enjoying it. It feels extremely solid, has great battery life, and puts out good quality sound at a decent volume. For the previous question about the beach…if you aren’t trying to annoy people 20-30 yards away, this will be good fit.
I bought one of the JLab Crashers for my parents – another recent Woot – and I believe the Pyle will get bigger and better sound. The JLab (or something similar) may be a better choice if looking for an AUX port or speakerphone functionality but for simply using as a speaker, the Pyle is pretty impressive.
I bought one of these and have never been able to get it to work. I’m not excited about spending money on shipping and taking the risk with another possible crap speaker. Buyer beware.
