I have this player from a few years ago. Bought it refurbed too. It works great. I had no problems with it. Its pretty thin so it fits into your pocket well.

I never quite understood why anyone uses these MP3 players with so much memory. Is it really necessary to have a gazillion songs at one time? I have 25 on my 512mg MP3 player and I don’t even listen to them all when I’m at the gym…
u heard right, i have the 2 gig black version of this series and it is great!
does rio have firmware or can i just plug it into any computer and use it like a thumb drive? (this is a big factor…!)
I got an error trying to get the hd…it was sold out, so I refreshed woot for the vid card…then it was sold out…what the crap!
I bought the 512 rio earlier this year on woot, with 1 gig expandable…this is a much better deal. I love my rio though.
i picked up one of these when they were new in stores, even at 250 it was a great buy, not as an mp3 player, but for the insy little hard drive instead, it was a compact flash card which really beefed up my pocket pc, and for a fraction of the cost of the drive without the mp3 player.
no guarantees as to weather this revision of the mp3 player uses the same kind of hard drive, but at 89 bucks for a 5 gig cf card, if you love watching movies on the ppc its worth the risk!

I bought the 512mb rio, I am way happy, and I can put a 2Gb card in it.
Some scratches on the chrome like bezel, but functionally rocked, and was durable.

I listen to my mp3 player at work pretty much during my entire shift… you need tons of music, books, anything you can get when you’re listening for 40 hrs a week haha.
I bought one of these on WOOT a few months ago and love it. The battery doesn’t stay charged as long as they say, but good enough to play all day at work. The earphones are OK, but you can get a better pair on eBay that don’t fall out of your ears for about 10 bucks.
Am I the only person around without an Mp3 player? These look like they are a pain in the arse like the old walkmans. Every time someone goes to talk to you, you have to pop the headphones off.
Gotta go fast!!! It’s a wootoff after all…
I use my ipod in the car in lieu of a cd player or the radio… it’s nice for long trips when you don’t want to listen to the same thing over and over again.
