Beware, this only works on a 2.4G wifi channel. If you don’t have seperated wifi (2.4 or 5g) in your home, this will not connect to the app and you won’t be able to schedule it, map the house, etc.
I bought two of these from woot, plus an inexpensive router, added it to our wifi system and still couldn’t get either to connect to internet/app.
good luck.
In my experience, if you have a better-quality router that puts out a 5G signal, it also puts out a separate 2.4G channel. #YMMV
I bought this here on Woot a little while back for this same price and loved it.
It got under foot when I was getting a mattress delivered and it ended on my porch where I forgot it and it was stolen.
I just bought it again on Amazon for $249. I wish I could have waited to get this price but you don’t have to. Click the buy button, it’s a great robo vac!
Does it have to be connected to the Internet??? Does it çome with its own remote??
Most mesh systems don’t put out a separate 2.4ghz channel. My eero setup can temporarily disable 5ghz for 10 minutes, allowing you to connect a legacy device to the 2.4ghz. So people interested in this vacuum should absolutely check their in home wifi will support it before purchasing.
I’ve looked at mesh systems including the eero, but they are $169-699 on Amazon.
My antique NetGear WNDR3400/N600 (2011/$48) puts out both 2.4 and 5GHz simultaneous/full time. Woot has a NetGear C6300/AC1750 modem-router combo for $37 that also does both 2.4 and 5.
My Deebot 960 only uses 2.4 as well but both my routers supported both. Once it’s happily connected and working you can forget the 2.4 and it will work till it get disconnected somehow, at least that’s how mine does it. And yes mine can get picky about connecting too but eventually it does it’s thing though most times I need to get close to the router to make it happy then once it’s connected it’s good to go.
I got this and it took just a few months for it to start screwing up for me. I loved the self empty feature and was really happy at the beginning, but soon it was getting stuck everywhere, having trouble moving, and even having trouble just climbing back into the base! And the refurbish warranty is too short to make it worth fixing.
