What’s the facts on this one. Worth it?
I have the vacuum model after buying it last year. It has been working pretty well for managing my basement, and the Shark app is fairly straightforward.
What I’m curious about, personally, is how well the combination vacuum/mop model works.
Bought this last time woot had it. Made a video review on it. Hope it helps. Shark Matrix Plus Demonstration and Quick Review
Loved mine. Waiting for return. Unfortunately it won’t empty
Simon says your butt smells like poop
We’ve bought 3 of the regular vacs, for 3 different homes, over the last year and all 3 are still working perfectly. Easily my most used Woot! purchase. All three look and function like brand new.
My boyfriend got me one for Christmas and I’m less than impressed with the mopping feature tbh. I have a lot of hardwood floor, and this mop leaves streaks sometimes so bad I have to go back over it with a Swiffer. Also it mapped my basement but only stays in one room when I dispatch it to clean. I don’t know why that is but it’s frustrating. BF spent a lot more money on it since he bought it new so I asked him to return it. I was hopeful but it’s not for me.
We bought two of these last year. My only complaint, and it’s minor, is the refurb process didn’t include a factory reset, so the units both contained the previous owner’s home maps. I suggest the first thing you do is a full reset. Since then they’ve been outstanding. Much better cleaning job than our old Roomba.
Just screaming my frustrations into the void here.
I bought my Shark Vac in Dec 2022. My wifi went down hard due to a recent power outage. Had to start new with the vacuum, app, etc.
It connected fine the first time, but now I’ve spent hours (including 2 hours on the phone with Shark’s tech team) trying to get it to register again.
I’ve promised myself I’m going to warn people any time I get a chance. You might buy a fancy robot vacuum for it to randomly refuse to work one day.
I don’t have this model, or even this brand. My robovac is an iHome from a Walmart clearance. But I’m chiming in because my iHome uses the same sort of mopping system as this Shark… regardless of how well the mopping works (and it works pretty darn well with my unit), it’s still a very hands-on activity. It’s a feature I’m glad to have when I need it, but I very seldom need it. The Swiffer is just so much quicker.
Bought one last time they were here. It works great! Of course there is areas where I use it is why, but the apl gives you nitification if the bumper is stuck, brushroll is stuck, etc. If anything its the best $140ish ive spent.
Oh yeah whoever is refurbing these does a terrible job, mine still had names, maps, and info linked to it
The Wet Jet or the Swiffer Sweeper Pet 2-in-1, Dry and Wet Multi-Surface Floor Sweeping and Mopping?
I really like mine - had the vac-only version for two years w/ no problems. Well one problem, but it’s my problem. I get stuck watching it. It’s soothing somehow, and way better than network TV. And when it’s done, I snap back to the realization I defeated the whole purpose. I should’ve done all the non-robot tasks elsewhere. Oh well.
I bought 2 of these shark robo vacuums from woot. Didn’t have any issue connecting it to wifi and no problem with the last owners map still on it. Best purchase ever!
I have both the regular and mopping Shark robots. Both do a good job vacuuming. The mopping works well, but for me, building the mopping zone in the app was much harder than it should have been. You have to, on screen build the “mopping zone” for it, so if you have carpet next to your hard floor, you have to redraw the boundary line over and over until the robot no longer mops the carpet. There is no auto carpet sensor like in the newer robots. One edge of my carpet has about 2 inches of stain from me not catching that I drew the mopping lines wrong.
Overall, yes they are great robots, but the mopping function can be a pain to set up.
I just have the Wet Jet. Will probably try one of the fancier, newer options whenever this one finally decides to die.
