Would be nice if a 3rd party warranty was included. I would be all over this. I can’t see spending $2K with only 90 days of warranty. Credit card warranties don’t apply and you can’t separately buy a 3rd party warranty for a refurb.

If there is a defect, who pays return shipping and or replacement?

Howdy. Here’s our return policy:

Woot staff, it would be nice if you answered the return shipping question directly. While I’m happy to read that massive FAQ document, I’m still not 100% certain which policy applies to this massive item.

They pay if there’s something wrong with it. If not, you pay

Wow. I’d love to pull the trigger on this. Unfortunately my other half pooped on the idea until we “need” a new one.

Who decides when we need one at your house.

Load of Crap!

By whom is this refurbished? Sony? Other?

Hi there. These are refurbished by our 3rd party vendor.

Another big online retailer had this same TV (the Costco version of the A80J) for the same price, but it was a Sony manufacturer refurb that included a 4-year warranty. I was a bit worried before it showed up, but it was fine. Came in a Sony box and everything.

The TV is excellent - HUGE upgrade from my previous 65" Bravia (LED). These Sony OLED’s are all coming down in price. I’d wait for something with an extended warranty and an official manufacturer refurb.
