Swiss Inox 18-Piece Stainless Steel Cookware Set

Hand wash?

Hi,

I am a customer service rep for Swiss Inox. This cookware set is dishwasher safe, however we recommend hand washing the lids due to the thermometer on the knob for best performance.

Wondering the same.

It says on the bottom that it’s made in China.

Hi,

Yes, Swiss Inox is a company based in Switzerland. Just like many companies in the US, production is moved to China to keep price competitive. However, what sets Swiss Inox and other US companies apart is the 30 year warranty, which includes parts replacement and repair. Also, all product goes through strenuous quality control checks to make sure your cookware is safe and lasts a lifetime.

It claims that you can only cook at low/medium heat over gas. What happens when you cook over high heat?

Hi,

Apologies, that was phrased incorrectly. It should be: suggested use is low/medium heat. It should be all that is needed due to the large triply bottom which distributes heat evenly. You can heat pans as high as your stove an go.

Yeah… uneven heating is NOT a reason I turn the burner on High. Not ever.

You seem to have spent more time in marketing than in a kitchen.

I’d like to point out that the stainless steel handles are a great feature only because you can put them into the oven and bake or roast with them. However, the “thermometer lids” probably can’t take that kind of abuse.

So, you have handles (that heat up faster than insulating ones), but can’t be put in the oven, and are generally a “WTF?” design choice.

Also, who needs a thermometer to know if their pot of food is low, medium, or high in temp? My hand can tell that in one wave over. I need to know what temp some foods are in their centers (mostly meats) - which this thermometer can never tell me.

Be nice. Our vendors take time out of their regular workday to be on our forums.
