This pass-along box is in no way affiliated with Woot! or Amazon companies. It’s just a group of forum-dwellers doing something fun. These little boxes have been a blast! Flourlover will be hosting this Merry-Makers box. We’re very strictly using the USPS’s Priority Mail Flat Rate® Large Box - LARGEFRB.
This is going to be a craft only box all the rules for a non trash box apply etc… No trash please. When you receive your box, you take out what you want then put your donations in…no junk please… if there are 47 boxes of colored pencils please don’t add more and no one needs construction paper, old magazines, or **dried/**used up items
We will only fill this box with handmade crafts and craft supplies, if sending supplies please only send quality things that you yourself would use.
Anything in the box will be up for grabs if you want all of cartr1’s 12 pieces of bubble gum art that is your right.
Everyone is at a different level of crafting ability so if you want to put hand made things from friends or whomever feel free as long as it is “homemade/handmade"
Anything liquid should have a sealed secondary container, breakables should be well protected, etc.
I encourage you to send craft kits to help others learn your crafts any kit should include all items needed, for example a pillow case = material, thread, needle, trim, and instructions
When your turn is approaching the sender should contact you privately to get your mailing info. Once the sender has shipped, they should send you the USPS tracking number (privately of course).
When you get your box, choose what you want and replace with your good stuff to send on. Take a picture of what you kept (that’s half the fun!) and share it with the forum along with a roster of what you kept. Please post a roster so everyone can tell what is in the picture. Mark with the highlighter in the log what you’re keeping
Write down what you put in.
Get the mailing info privately from the next player. Pack it all up, mail it and send the tracking number to the next player.
The rules will be very loosely based on the UBOT with a few big exceptions:
We will all use a specific flat rate mailbox from USPS (Priority Mail Flat Rate® Large Box - LARGEFRB) This will provide tracking and insurance, keep things fair and from snowballing. We have a list of banned items please look at the list.
