I called Vitamix, they said you can call with the serial # when it arrives and they can explain why they are being sold without a warranty. It’s a shame you cant simply explain it here. Oh well…

It comes with a 90-day warranty. We’re not an authorized reseller. They may or may not honor the warranty since you purchased it from Woot. That’s up to them. Just in case, we give it a 90-day Woot warranty.

Thank you for the update on the issues surrounding the warranty which may not be an issue… Definitely worth a try.

Good luck with that replacement part.

Agree with above posters. It’s a great item. I have one also. Still in the 80Db range when on high, but you don’t stay there long. Pros love this model. Has been around for a while and there are only 4 people on the repair shop staff. Your chances are good here, and Vita may sell you an extended warranty if asked.

My guess on the lower price is due to lack of warranty. You’re getting everything else including cookbooks.
Clean up is very easy, Just add a drop or 2 of dish soap and fill 1/2 way up with water and turn on high.
If you’re making nut butters plan to do a smoothie right after and then run a cleaning cycle. It’s a win-win.

Oh,
1 more thing. It’s happiest at higher speeds.
If you run it for longer periods at lower speeds it will be quieter, but may stop suddenly as the motor can over heat.

I can buy 4 drills for that price :upside_down_face:

I got one of these the last time and the warranty was still valid with vitamix.

to each his own…

Yeah, moreso just messing around

At those prices, I feel like I’m #winning having bought two inexpensive blenders at Ollie’s many years ago and they’re still going strong.

If you can afford it, just get one already. Notice the literally thousands of reviews on the internet by people who have purchased them? This is the real deal. I’ve had mine for over a decade and it runs like an old Ford or Chevy pickup truck.

Jamba Juice and Starbucks used to use them, not sure if that is still true. These blenders are commercial work horses.

Thanks did not know that about apple seeds. I use 1 apple/smoothie.

Blender arrived and we love it !!! Thanks Woot !!! Based on my last phone call to Vitamix, i have no worries about the warranty, they seem to be invested in making sure their customers are happy.

I’ve seen them at my local Jamba Juice within the past few months. I saw a large industrial grade vitamix in the kitchen that cooks for some fancy executives and pro athletes.

In my experience, the thing that sets Vitamix apart from other blenders is the ability to blend leafy greens to such a fine consistency that it could be mistaken for juice. With other blenders, you’re aware of the fiber and pulpy bits and it isn’t always pleasant.

Mine has a cleaning cycle: put 1-2 drops of soap and an inch of water. Run the cycle, rinse it out, wipe down the outside (and inside if you’re like me), let it air dry…so BOTH

1 caviat with cleaning:
If you choose to put the cannister thru the dishwasher cycles, just know the plastic will become permanently cloudy.
Even with hand washing it is recommended to wash AND hand dry or you will have permanent water drop shadows.
If that doesn’t matter, never mind.

Perfect! My parrot loves finger food! Well, maybe not liquified.

A great deal until U need the warranty service- so it’s a gamble-

Buy a refurb from them at same price with 3 years warranty :+1:
