Maybe that’s why wooters like the nextel…it makes them feel employed.
comaptible with verizon?
or mac?
I think I’ll just wait for the rumored Tre 670.
t-mobile used to be voicestream
Newbie question:
What’s a B.O.C.? Big Old ???
Seriously! Nextel is for poor people, which is ironic because they cost the most. They should rename the company Poverty PCS, or Welfare Wireless. I had nextel, and I took it back after a week it sucked so terribly.
Bag o’ Crap = B_O_C
FYI, tho, we are no longer supposed to post this acronym on this forum. It has been rumored that it will now be called Random Stuff, instead. …don’t know if that is true.
Sierra is exiting the business:

No indication as to who will pick up support for this product.
I’m surprised woot did not disclose this.
T-Mobile USA used to be a lot more than voicestream. T-Mobile its self is the largest wireless provider in the USA. It has over 80 million customers worldwide. A lot more than the 50million cingular.
For what it’s worth, here is what is currently posted on the Sierra Wireless company’s website:
“Thank you for visiting the Voq Professional Phone website to learn more about products. On June 7, 2005 we announced we are exiting our Voq Professional Phone initiative. We will have more specific information regarding our plans by the time of our second quarter earnings conference call scheduled for July 20th.”
All you negitive nellies out there. This is a great deal for an unlocked Smart phone (pocket PC) with expandable memery SD slot. does mp3’s and video and can sync easy with your pc. think about the addresses syncing and being able to bbring that speadsheet and word doc with you. Hey and you can install pocket pc apps on it. I love map point on mine. Stop gripping and let the true smart phone fans enjoy this good deal.
It is still supported by Sierra Wireless:

“We will continue to offer technical support to existing Voq users. Please click here for online Support resources or call 1.877.231.1144.”
I believe your somewhat mistaken about the cali situation. The reason cingular sucks so bad in cali is because they sold all of their towers to T-Mobile to make money for the AT&T purchase. Plus, their phones suck too. They say “more bars in more places” and no matter how true that is, i drop calls with my cingular company phone all the time no matter how many bars I have. I have a personal T-Mobile and it works great everywhere, 1 bar or 5 bars. Never drops calls
They are not the service providers so who cares if they stop. The phone will still work great. It has 90 day warr on it and if any problems do happen it will be in that time. Trust me people it is a great phone for the money.
ROFL. Oh, man, good one…that is too funny. First you act all sincere like Pocket PC / Windows Mobile is actually a good thing (LOL) and then, just to seal the deal, you mix in a bazillion misspellings. Fantastic…wooterific sense of humor, you have.
I want to know what USA cell carriers can handle this phone.
Any suggestions?
Get this phone, pop in a larger SD card and you’re several steps ahead of the people paying $300 for the itunes phone!
I want one but… don’t know why!
Big deal… the only good thing about this is $5 shipping. you can get the same phone on Ebay for a lot lesser. Plus Voq ??? never even heard of 'em
Decent review on cnet…
