WEN Sliding Compound Miter Saw

I guess it would have been helpful to add some tooth numbers to my previous comment. 18-24 teeth for fast rough cuts, 36-48 teeth for general purpose cuts, 60/72/96 teeth for fine slow cuts.

There are also hybrid blades out there that cover most of that range with just one blade, and they will serve most homeowners well.

This looks suspiciously like my Harbor Freight Tools sliding compound miter saw. If it is the same, it’s worth the price. I paid a little less than this and got a 3 year extended warranty also. I’ve probably had it that long, and when I need it, it’s great saw to have to cut all sorts of wood for projects.

I don’t know how precise the mitering gauges are, but it seems accurate enough for me. I only wish it had a laser light, but you can even buy those as an aftermarket add-on for most saws.

Flimsy POS. Would be okay for cutting small pieces of firewood, but for anything more accurate, forget it! One foot broke off the first time I used it. After trying to cut 45 degree ends on a spice rack frame, I gave up and used my table saw.
