Which was the best Matrix movie?
âś“ None of the above
Was there one?
I have never had the desire to watch a matrix movie Ever
Find it hard to buy the hypothetical arguments put forth in the above article. But share it as as “interesting idea.” Regardless, what you have is what you and those you interact with experience. To not respond appropriately to that reality is the functionally useful definition of delusional thinking. It often means moving on and doing the best you can instead of dwelling in what has occurred. Making our tomorrows brighter.
The Animatrix.
The Matrix. First movie was is one of my favorite movies. After that other than special affects the movies got stupid. Especially the group dance. Just bad.
All comprehension of the visible and knowable universe is from the perspective of beings that inhabit one planet. And on the planet, as far as we understand there has only been one species rise to the level to even begin to question existence itself.
So, when philosophers and scientists begin to hypothesize the nature and fabric of reality, it will be narrow and based on the current beliefs and available data to the current senses of this group of people.
Perhaps there is a universe that sets on top of this universe made up of substance, form and energy that we have never developed the senses to comprehend. Maybe we have no ability to even comprehend the nature of existence without these extra senses.
Gravity and time are still mysteries to us. Are these forces in the universe? Or just our own naive attempt to comprehend the actions of matter and energy around us without having the correct tools in which to properly measure?
My take on this: Reality or Simulation - you still need to avoid playing chicken on freeways to test hypothesis.
Enjoy your simulation or life safely. Be nice to one another and do not eat the yellow snow.
Thankfully no gratuitous pictures of penises.
Just normal ones, then, right?
I’m just going to out myself here: There are countless fictional universes I don’t give a crap about (that you probably love) and find myself only really enjoying the original origin story (first book/first movie/first season.) The Matrix is my exception. I actually enjoy the first one the least. It ends where the story begins as origin stories do. My favorite is the third movie. The second one… got weird, but it’s still fun and I love the Merovingian and the Architect. I genuinely enjoy the story of ending the cycle of Zion and Neo becoming the savior of the machines. It hurts my heart that Animatrix wasn’t marketed like it should have been, especially considering they even have Neo have an exchange with a main character that makes no sense unless you watched it. For the record: I fast forward through Neo and Trin humping during the cave rave. Gross. My point, assuming I have one, would be that this movie isn’t for you. It’s for me. You should totally not go see it. I will… I let you know if it was shameless cash grab or not so you don’t have to find out yourself, my gift to you. Merry Christmas.
I enjoyed the whole franchise. There were a few cringe-worthy parts, but it was really good. The lack of exposition gave it a bit of reality.
It is interesting how differently everyone understands different parts of the movie…
Here’s one, from me.
Morpheus thinks it is 2199. But the Architect tells Neo that he is the seventh manifestation. Each time previous version did what the architect wanted and chose a few people from Zion to live the machines came in a decimated everyone else.
If it had only been 200 years as Morpheus believes, then it would less than 30 years between each iteration of Neo. The few that survived would have memories of the purge; unless the survivors were required to be under 5, so they may not remember… How did the survivors not pass on the story of everyone being wiped out and restarting… Was the council the only ones that knew the truth, were selected by the previous iteration of Neo and knew he would come again? If so, that is not alluded to in the trilogy…
I think it is far further into the future than Morpheus believes. Unless that date is the only piece of information the the Council is allowed to pass on.
The original probably. Though the ending of #3 seems of importance for #4 movie.
However, I’m preferring Jon Wick & the Bowery King.
The one that has Dorothy meeting a scarecrow, they escape a chain gang and sing into a can so they can shoot zombies in the head.
Not sure which one that was.
Only if you assume that 2000 was the first iteration.

THE MATRIX hands down!!!
I was studying for a super hard professional 4 hour test when it came out. I soo wanted to have all the info downloaded into brain. I did pass the test, but it took substantially more than a few moments to cram the data into my thick skull.
