Why does it take so long to get what we order?
I ordered sunglasses 5/26. Deliver is estimated to be 6/13. That is way over two weeks. What good is Prime shipping if it takes so long to get it shipped??
Been with Woot since 2015 never been fast. Some effort should be spent on this issue.
Hi there. Sorry to hear of your negative experience.
In most cases Woot does not interact with the item during shipping, so shipping speed is entirely determined by the vendor. To keep shipping expenses down, items are often transferred from the carrier to your local post office, which can add some time depending on your locality.
In my experience, the item always arrives before the estimate. I ordered a handful of items Friday afternoon and was very impressed to see a few of them yesterday, a full week before the expected date.
As dafrogman pointed out, that estimate is just an estimate and is on the outside range of when it should be delivered. You will likely receive it much sooner. Today is a holiday so that makes things a little slower but I would be very surprised if it took until the 13th.
On a related note, having Prime shipping gives you free shipping on Woot but it doesn’t make the shipping speed any faster.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
To add to this, you get free shipping with your Prime membership, not fast shipping.
Your order is shipping directly from our vendor. The holiday weekend adds a delay in there. It will likely ship in the next couple days and then allow time for transit.
You really need those few days to forget what you bought. Then when you open the box, surprise!
Especially if it was something you bought during happy hour.
I know there are packages coming… but I don’t remember what’s supposed to be in them.
Thanks everyone. But the issue is not slow shipping once the item is shipped. It is Woot’s extremely long processing time to get it in the mail!!!
You ordered just before a holiday weekend. Give them a bit to get it out the door.
