I have no secrets really. I’m pretty open about my past, because I’m no longer the same person I was. Contrary to what some people believed, I never went to prison. Never got busted for the illegal stuff I did when I was young and ignorant. I quit using, selling and transporting drugs in 1983. And when I decided I needed to quit, I left my home state of California and stayed away for over 4 years. I returned and never contacted the old people I used to hang out with. I was still a shit person, but no longer had anything to do with drugs. And I slowly grew into the person I am now, and have finally embraced being a parent, grandfather and now great grandfather. My mom said before she passed away 10 years ago today that my father would have been proud of how much I had grown as a person. Meant a lot to me. Ok. Now you know I was a piece of crap. How about you?

No, I’ve been painfully in love with a married woman for the past 22 years. We met when she was engaged, she said she loved me…too. She married him. He found out about us. He forgave us both after I moved 1,000 miles away, and I’ve kept the promise I made to her 20 years ago to never contact her. Sometimes it’s still painful not to reach out, but I think she’s happy, and I could only end up hurting her. So I keep my mouth shut, and inwardly laugh at the insecure young women in this college town who think I’m checking them out, because I’m really just looking around for someone I know isn’t here. It’s safe to say it to a bunch of strangers using an alias. Also, I’m a cereal killer. Has anyone else noticed that Fruit Loops are smaller than they used to be?
