Is it possible to get an extended warranty? The 90 days warranty on an item like this isn’t that great.

There was some issue at one point with aluminum in the lock mechanism that Wirecutter brought up and Xiaomi issued a safety notice on - would these risk having that issue?

What is the return policy for electric scooters and would we have to pay additional fees since it’s a heavy item?

How do we know if these items are shipped as a ‘Heavy/bulky item’ by a specialty carrier such as CEVA, ABF, or Pilot? I just want to make sure we don’t get charged a flat $50 return fee.

Buy 3 year insurance. It will wear out. I owned the m365 e-scooter for a year and commuted to work 8 miles round trip. The steering column got wobbly immediately, where its folding hinge is. The rear fender broke off from the shock of hitting a bump. It’s battery degraded to 7 miles of run time. It’s headlight would slow it down noticeably. And at the end, its power button became finicky. Fortunately I bought Asurion insurance who denied my claims for the first problems but couldn’t deny the power button issue and gave me a full refund.

Where do you even get the warranty?

This ships by UPS.

Got mine. Cannot connect app to scooter on iOS. I’m in the US. Any tips? When I get to screen that says to push power button on scooter to pair I press power button and nothing happens in app.

Try turning off VPN and mobile data. Only use wifi and Bluetooth during setup
