Are these eligible for Applecare?
Have to say, I’m working on a similar HP laptop, that is very fast, has a fast USB storage device plugged in for extra storage, and cost a fraction of this. Unless you really have to drink the Apple kool aid, this deal is not for most. Not saying what to do for anyone buy myself, but consider what you could do with the extra money you don’t spend on this.
not sold by Apple, so they have their own non-Apple warranty.
I cannot recommend! Keyboard has been replaced more than once as has the battery on my unit. Apple, if you’re listening, you have fallen from grace into disgrace!
Sorry, they are not.
Thanks. Without Applecare, I’d never get one due to the well known keyboard issues…
With two keyboard issues, and the stage lighting effect without apple care these are a fools errand.
Micro Center has these Apple-Refurbished (is pristine) in store for $1200. It comes with the one-year Apple warranty.
Unless they’re running as headless machines, then it doesn’t really matter.
A Mac destined to fail. Buy one at your own peril. But don’t say you weren’t warned. The best thing we can do for fellow Mac users is to totally badmouth these machines and ruin sales until Apple actually listens to us and puts the old keyboard back into the MB and MBP. All it would take is an extra 2mm or so of base thickness.
BTW: Do you know how little key travel these have? About the thickness of a business card. Yeah; try typing productively on that!
Told Ya!
Headless machine? I can spend half the price and get a Windows box. This machine is a waste of money from any perspective.
Can’t compile for iOS on windows, and for some instances, you need metal
