Asus 13.3” Full HD Core i5 Zenbook Touch

I can’t get wifi to work on this computer. It will connect after the computer is reset and/or router is power cycled. But then after the computer goes to sleep, it won’t connect to wifi when computer wakes up. It tries to but doesn’t connect successfully. I have applied all windows updates, updated to 8.1 and tried updating to latest driver from intels website. Anyone else having the same issue?

I’d suggest contacting Asus for some troubleshooting. However, I used to have a similar issue with a laptop. My wireless card adapter somehow shut itself off when the computer went to sleep. Just a thought, might be something to check.

I will try to contact ASUS, I just think they will have me do all the same things I have already done. It seems to be a common issue with windows 8 laptops. I will also try the power management setting and see if that helps. Everytime the computer gets to the point where it won’t connect, I have to reboot the router to get it to connect again.

Hello!
I wrote about my problem in support at 30 dec., but it has not been answered yet.
case number CAS-561077-J4M8N3.
I ordered one this Zenbook and 17 dec. parcel was delivered.
The problem is that in the tracking is written weight of 8 lbs, but in reality the box weighs only 2.2 lbs.
I didn`t open the box.
What shall I do?

I’ve passed your info off to CS; you should hear from someone soon.

Hey guys there, I purchased from a third party who had stated serveral times, that they got this laptop from WOOT. But when I received it from this seller and the label"win8" on the backface of the ultrabook was unfortunately tore up, when I tested it with some software later I found that it’s been charged for over 240 times and used over 180hours, what’s further worse is that the battery consumption has reached up to 11.84%.

Really appreaciate you guys can provide pieces of advices, is it really sold from “WOOT” based upon your purchasing experience? what about the battery life and harddisk usage of your “ux31A” ? Can I believe its a reconditioned one shipped from the ASUS?

Thank you so much.

@FeltonLau: We would have no way of knowing if it was purchased from Woot or not. We do not record serial numbers for items we sell. A Woot warranty goes to the original purchaser only - as shown by proof of purchase. A manufacturer’s warranty is between you and the manufacturer. You will have to take up the matter with the person from whom you purchased the computer.

FWIW though, Win8 does not come with a sticker like the previous versions of Windows. The product key is in the BIOS. You can google for more info on this.
