ATI TV Wonder USB Digital and Analog TV Tuner

I bought a couple of these last time and they work wonderfully in Linux. I haven’t tried the composite/s-video in, but as far as watching TV on the go, they are perfect.

Oh, setup instructions are here:

Does this work with a Mac? No seriously! Does it?

while everyone’s getting fooled over at woot and i already have my order processing…here’s the product website. Merry Christmas!

here’s a previous woot

I’m in for one for that very reason. I was actually going to post that I had heard they worked well in Linux, but it’s nice to hear from someone who has direct experience. I’m looking forward to having a decent video capture device that I can use under Linux, as all the cheap USB ones I’ve bought seem to only like Windows. This has the added bonus of an ATSC tuner!

Sure, as long as your Mac is running Windows in a virtual sandbox.

(Seriously, if you mean does it work with OS X, say that. And no, it doesn’t, that I know of)

i am pretty sure this doesn’t work with windows 7

edit: I happily stand corrected! in for one!

it does not. there is a mac version here

got this last time, its great

Works just fine on Win7 Home Premium.

This user review on Amazon would beg to differ.

thankyou! in for one!

This works very well. Unfortunately, the room I choose to use this in must be airwave-resistant. It’s a good product, but location is important!

“DCno10, better late than never, finds the product website.”

touche woot mod, touche. B O C to be had though so I’m OK with that.

It seems to be well-liked here in Washington.
Another one sold!

hmm…very tempting, but I shall have to pass. Christmas shopping has also left me near broke.

Im running it on Windows 7 Ultimate and it works perfectly. I do not like the software that comes with it but windows media cebetr works perfectly with this USB tuner

Is this really worth it? I mean with Hulu and project free TV, I can watch my shows whenever i want anyways. I have been looking for one of these for my Windows Media Center but am hesitant to jump on this. Thoughts?

I got one of these one Woot last time they were on sale, and it’s been working very well for me in Windows Media Center on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Installing the driver was a little tricky, though.

One thing to keep in mind is that though it does get HD signals over the air, it doesn’t get HD cable, just standard analog cable. The remote also only seems to work with the tuner itself, not with the IR receiver on my laptop.
