I hereby charge you with creating cheese notes, sir!

I’ll try to make some notes. Is there a Cheese Tracker website where I can start documenting my growing cheese collection?

same problem. Was just checking to see what was in the larder so I didn’t duplicate holdings.
Tuff to do with the paired selections here.
Huge fan of barely buzzed. Not a huge fan of sea hive. Anyone who wants to trade a sea give for a barely buzzed on the west coast, send me a PM.

this woot plus ends on 11/25. with thanksgiving factored in, it will likely ship the first week of December.
thanks,

Thanks!
So, this offer was just extended until 12/2, right? I guess that means shipping is back a week from WD’s estimate earlier in the thread?
Man, I’m really glad I didn’t jump in. That would have ended up with cheese on my front porch for weeks.

I don’t think people shop at woot because they get their stuff quickly.
we figured we’d extend this a few days. as stated before, it should still ship first week of December. probably later part.
thanks,
oh Jeeze! This Woot plus needs to Bee-over right meow. Ship ship ship
I’m glad this deal came up. I’ve been craving the Promontory for a while, but the local grocery store hasn’t stocked it in a few months (they have the cajun and had barely buzzed a few weeks back).

It’s not about being in a hurry (maybe you didn’t read the thread?) Some of us travel for several weeks over the holidays and had already asked for a ship date estimate before they extended the offer a week. Had I pulled the trigger under the assumption of WineDavid’s original answer, I would have had cheese sitting out for 3 weeks while I was away because it’s been delayed a week with this extension.
On that note…the inability to schedule wine shipments (unlike the other two wine sites I shop at frequently) already makes it much, much harder to pull the trigger on wine.woot. Imagine a world where you are offered a calendar and you pick your ship date upon check-out…yeah, those exist. They are awesome.
Does Wine Country Accessories have their own website where cheeses, oils, vinegars, and preserves can be purchased year round? Or is just the Wine Country Connect non-wine shipping arm?
Does anyone have their favorite online olive oil and vinegar websites?
Thanks!!!
Are these cheeses vegetarian?

Here’s their about us that talks about their production.
I ordered one of each set and as expected, got 4 unique tracking numbers. Wouldn’t it be more efficient to allow wine.woot items to be combined in the cart with other wine.woot items? Especially items from the same sale.
Four boxes instead of one bigger box = approximately 3x the total packaging. Shipping four boxes vs. one larger box = at least 2x the shipping cost.
OTOH…
Better shipping efficiency = higher profits for wine.woot and its partners = better deals for customers in the future.

Based on other orders, both here and from the mothership, it seems many items are pre-packaged and await only a shipping label to go out the door.
I received a tracking number on 12/3/14, but as of today, FedEx says the package is still awaiting shipment. Has this happened to anyone else?
Also, are they shipped in ice? Trying to figure out whether the package can survive in my building’s receiving room for 6 hours or so until I get home from work. Any insight is appreciated.
Having this exact trouble on my end; mine’s been sitting since Wednesday w/ a shipping label printed and one person I’m sending it to has work travel all next week. I wouldn’t have bought this had I known it would take this long to go one state over. Hell, I can drive to Beehive in 20 minutes myself but I trusted the Woot system.
Woot was I thinking?
Not that I need more cheese to show up, but the Mexican cheese I bought on the 27th has already made its way into my cheese hoard, and all I have is a label printed note on tracking. This is a bit long to ship on this guys. Worth the wait, I am sure, and I don’t have a pressing need for speed with it, but man c’mon, thats a long time. I have 3 other orders placed after this that I have received before this even shipped out.
i see i’m not the only one wondering about the shipping. i got a fedex notification on thurs 12/4 but have yet to see it update status.
Hmm… Tracking shows that my cheese was picked up earlier this evening as “ground shipping” with an estimated delivery of Friday 12/12… Considering my order from woot in October was shipped with two-day service and arrived inedible due to a busted ice pak, I’m not holding out a lot of hope this time either… Which makes me sad because I know this is good cheese!
