FYI- the Features listing does not change from 1 camera add on & 2 cameras with Sync 2 module.

Listing shows-

  • Includes two Blink Outdoor cameras and one Sync Module 2

If you buy the add on camera, it is only 1 camera and NO Sync 2 module.

Trying to order (2) 2 camera sets with Sync Module and (2) add on cameras but Woot order system sees that as more than 3. Even if I just try (1) add on camera it chokes. So, ordered just the (2) 2 camera sets with Sync Module. SAD

I quickly read some of the setup pages. One Sync module can work for 10 cameras.

I bought the two pack with sync module the last time offered. There is constant background static from both, motion detection is weak and unless you subscribe after the 30 day trial they are only good for monitoring in real time - no recording.

I think you did it wrong. The whole point of the sync module is that you can record to a USB thumb drive attached to it, and not need to pay for subscription.

I can record motion from my outdoor cameras to my sync module with USB. No subscription required. Motion detection does seem slightly delayed compared to the indoor mini cameras (which i might have a few of outside in covered areas, working well).
Make sure your wifi signal is strong at the camera.

2 year battery life?

UP TO 2 year battery life. Depends on how many motion events trigger. I’ve gotten almost a year before needing to replace the battery and the instructions state you MUST use a non-rechargeable lithium battery to replace it, which are more expensive.

The 2 year battery life is based on active video time of an average of around 70 seconds per day, or less than 15 hours total.

My first camera (the older XT2) went almost 3.5 years before requiring a battery change, but some people have run their camera(s) down in only weeks.

Which is why I was trying to order 3 extra individual cameras to go with the 2 kits. But, was not allowed.

I have these and no subscription and when they are armed they do record when motion is detected
