108.33 on Amazon how is $99.99 a deal?
Can’t really call this a deal, I’ve seen this price go lower now around the $70s , I bought mine for $99 5 years ago and that was bundled with a game
Funny how that item links to a warranty page from 3 years before the listing was first created
It is a current price and link though. I guess you can conclude that Woot’s prices may be a bit lower than the Mothership. It sells far more products than the old Woot and some are barely discounted. Might be fair to consider it Amazon Warehouse Outlet store now.
You are right, Penduragun. I too have seen this item go for much less on Amazon in a (somewhat rare) sale.
I produce a syndicated, pre-recorded one hour show each week and am paid for it. This week is #475.
While much of it is recorded on site or over the phone with a digital recorder and some high-end performance-type mics, I record follow-up commentary, filler, public service announcements etc. direct to a quiet fanless SSD laptop and mix them in to the Adobe Audition wave file of the rest of the show. It’s a fast way to get things done when on a deadline.
For those recordings, I’ve used this mic for years. I even have a spare.
My only complaint is that the older style mini plug gets a bit loose from years of unplugging. A bit of duct tape fixed that.
Can’t comment on price or use for singing, etc. But time is money and this mic as saved me both.
Used this pre-pandemic to record. Moved over to a dynamic mic once it stopped working. As a note, everyone I know with this mic has had it stop working at some point. This mic is known to pick up EVERYTHING. You will spend some time tweaking digital gates and limiters. If you don’t understand that, avoid this mic.
Who this is really for: If you are trying to record two or more people at once or the “sound” of the recording area.
Who this is not for: People trying to do voice overs, youtube channels or stream. It is going to pick up all your clicking and background BS stuff. It will drive you crazy.
Just an amature opinion, but there are MUCH MUCH MUCH better mics out there for 100.
@intrepid01 what site do you use to pull up the history or is there somewhere on Amazon that I should be looking?
Thank you

You are welcomed. You can also set alerts to be emailed for price drops of your choosing on items of interest.
Powerful tool. It is clearly not run by Amazon (and I think Amazon may not like them very much) but the information is on the internet and they aggregate it.
I can confirm what jar says here. It is VERY sensitive and you need to be prepared to accommodate that or accept it. If that is what you want – great! Other than that, it is a great microphone.
Just wanted to swing by and mention this mic is great if the room is dead silent, otherwise it will pic up every keystroke, paper shuffle and mouse click sound and any background noise. Will take some tweaking with the blue software and mic gain to get decent audio out of it.
Odd. Been using one for years in a moderately quiet room with none of the noise problems mentioned. And believe me, the network would squawk about the quality if the problems were present. Check which pattern you are using, don’t get too far away from the mic and turn down the level.
