All I know is I don’t need $310.00 to stand up. I’ll do it for half that price.

Cool, though I’d rather have an Ikea Jerker desk for the same effect. They haven’t made them in a few years, but they can still be had on Craigslist… I bought two, just in case. They’re a wonderful desk design for about 1/3rd to 1/4th of the cost.

I bought this desk off Woot a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier.
The steel construction is very solid. I have (2) 27" Apple Displays, a few external USB devices and a laptop and it handles everything with no effort.
I don’t mind burning a few calories winding the handle. For the truly cheap and lazy, you could wind it up and down with a cordless drill.
Make sure you get a tall chair if you are not used to standing up. I look forward to working on it every day.

All furniture in my house takes into consideration that a cat will end up either owning it,scratching on it or hawking up a fur-ball on it.

Ah! I’m so glad you said that. I found one of these on Craigslist a couple years ago and love it. Always assumed from Ikea but never knew the name. It works great for standing or sitting. Mine had two swing-out shelves, but I’d love to get another single board shelf now that I know what to look for.

I’ve had a couple of jerkers and now have one like this (but it’s electric). The jerker is great if you just want a standing desk, but it’s static and a pain in the ass to go from standing to sitting. Only like 6 bolts, but you have to take everything off your desk to adjust it. If you go from standing to sitting more than once a week (I switch back and forth all day), a desk like this is the way to go.

What are the true Table Top Dimensions? Woot shows them as 63"x31.5" but Staples says 65"x35".

Also, since a few comments suggest missing parts and non-working website (so voice mail had to be left) I think the manufacture would want to provide feedback response on Woot to assure future potential buyers that they are responsive in correcting those problems.

Our dimensions are correct. The dimensions on Staples are what we have for the shipping carton.

Anyone know about the material used for the top? I’m really considering one, but the white top would have to be refinished.

I considered this, but am concerned about the multiple reports of missing, malfunctioning, or incorrect parts on p.2 of the comments on the last sale.

Unfortunately, with the problems noted in the prior thread, I think I’m going to sit on my hands for this one and wait to see how people fare this go round. A shame, too, since my “desk” is currently a wobbly card table.
