FYI these are post product recall fix, so you don’t have to worry about that.

I have one of the Am04 refurbished and enjoy it very much. Wish they had the heat version in the tall fan model. Mine started to make a weird noise but noticed the fan inlet was getting dusty quickly and they are very tiny holes for the inlet. I just took the vacuum and cleaned it and it worked fine again.

I just received my fan I ordered last week on Woot. I was very disappointed. The fan looks like it was a floor model somewhere that was beat to hell. There was scratches all over the fan and it was filthy dirty. I e-mailed woot and they offered to refund the full amount to me. Not sure if I want to chance ordering another one or not. Anyone have a similar problem or was this just the one in a thousand that didn’t actually get refurbed before the repacked it and sent it out?

I received the fan also. A couple of scratches on the base. The remote was missing the end cap exposing the circuit board so I chatted with Dyson and they are sending a replacement remote.

These are great. They are also currently on a $50 rebate at Costco which brings them to the same price new.

I bought one of these babies the last time Woot offered them. I couldn’t be happier. I especially love the digital thermostat setting. 5 stars.

I believe you are mistaken, I just looked on the website and they’re $100 more at Costco brand after that $50 rebate.

I got a blue AM04 from Woot about 10 months ago refurbished and it didn’t have a scratch on it. I supposed it depends on how well the prior owner took care of it.

Scratches and dents. Dusty so I had to clean it which isn’t a big deal. The biggest issue is the loose screw(s) inside the fan area that gets hit around when I turn it on. Contacted Woot today. Took my chance at woot for the first time after years of hesitation… will probably be my last.

At least all of you seem to have gotten yours. It’s 2 weeks later and mine hasn’t even shipped yet. I wrote Woot twice now and they just keep saying “it takes 3-5 business days to ship” when in fact it’s been longer than that. This may be my last order from Woot as well if I don’t start hearing something.

EDIT: They basically said “yeah we don’t have any to give you so here’s a refund.” Gotta love that they had no problem collecting and holding onto my money for 2 weeks without ever having stock or intending to send me one. Probably never ordering from Woot again.

Wow, that’s lame. I had the same exact problem. I got tired of their canned email responses as well and asked them to just cancel the order and refund me. They said they wouldn’t do that and that. Instead they wanted me to sit and wait until they decided to finally ship it, then deal with the hassle of mailing it back to them and waiting even longer to get my money back. Good thing I purchased with Discover. I just went ahead and disputed the charge. Got my money back same day. If I ever do receive the fan I’ll just reject the package and let Woot figure it out on their end. Shouldn’t be my hassle or problem for their poor execution.
