If my current 4 yr. old Dyson was in need of replacement I’d get this! I trust Dyson and would absolutely trust a Dyson “factory” reconditioned unit. I hope an offer of this type will be available when I’m in need.

Agree. We’ve had an older version of this model for many years (a decade? longer?) and have had to replace the battery once, but otherwise, it still does a great job of vacuuming up small (dry) messes. Sometimes, if I open it over the trash can and kind of smack the “neck” of the thing on the side of the trash can, the lid will pop off and I have to fish it out of the dusty mess, but that’s probably more a me problem than a Dyson problem. That said, looks like this new model opens a little differently, so maybe a non-issue. Oh, I guess I do have one problem with this: about half of the time, the dust bunnies or whatever are kind of stuck in the canister and my fingers just can’t quite grab them, so I need to use long tweezers to extract them. Not a big deal, but if you’re vacuum-detritus-averse, you may run into this issue and shudder (or whatever).

Got ours a few years ago as a wedding present. The model has served well with a medium sized dog that sheds a fair amount.

One thing I will note is if you buy this - also get yourself a spare filter ASAP. The filter cap screws onto the top/back of the unit and is washable to clean out when it gets dirty. However, you will need to let it air dry for a couple hours at least. It’s really annoying to be surprised mid-clean and have the vacuum stop because the filter needs to be changed out if you don’t have a dry/spare filter on hand ready to swap in. There are generic versions of the filter available also on the market.

I got this recently here on woot for the same price. Quite the upgrade from the v7 we had for many many years. Only thing I don’t like is it’s large canister makes it a little more difficult to use as a handheld vacuum. Great price.

I see this listing calls out the attachments, where I don’t think the posting from a week or so ago did.

It didn’t, I asked very near the end of the day but didn’t get an answer.

I received my Dyson refurbished unit today. No power cord. I tried calling Dyson, per the specific instructions in the box, and they were a nightmare. Besides, this unit doesn’t have the anti-tangle technology, and deals poorly with long hair. I have a return request into Woot, because it requires special handling due to the battery. :frowning:

Me being the dumba$$ I am….I thought it was a good idea to run water in the floor attachments. They looked dirty and I wanted to clean them. Long story short, I had to buy new ones.

Dyson vacuums are awesome! I have the V6 but it just sits now because the battery dies after 5 minutes, which is expected after a few years. But the vacuum really sucks for those 5 minutes!

First time I bought a refurbished Dyson. However, I had hoped it would give me the same experience with regard to quality and longevity as my other Dyson products that I bought new.
Here we are some 15 month later and it runs only for a few minutes before the badness to be recharged again.
Will think twice about buying refurbished. It feels like it was wasting money instead of saving some.

You can replace the battery.
