Those aquariums seem really really small for anything other than a betta.

Yes, but a Betta is an ideal office pet! they are super hardy, and in fact to better if you do NOT feed them every day (most people kill their bettas by over feeding them). I had a betta in my office some years ago, and it lasted at least a year and a half (I had to move for the next job and left it behind with a coworker). Bettas can handle extremes in temperatures (like your office heat being turned off overnight in the winter, or the A/C off in the summer) and do well in small spaces. plus they are pretty

It’s too small even for a betta as they should be kept in at least 2 gallons. My two are in a 5 gallon and 90 gallon community respectively.

While a fairly hardy fish, they are still tropical fish and need water in the lower to mid 70s and are susceptible to temperature swings. As far as longevity, when properly housed they’ve been known to live at least 3-5 years and some extreme cases of 10+ years has been reported!

The brand name is different, but specs indicate it’s the same product. It even has the same cute dog in the photo!

No, these bowls are WAY too small for even a betta. Just because bettas can survive in small ponds for a short amount of time doesn’t mean it’s good for them. Dogs can survive living in tiny cages 24/7 but it’s not healthy and no sane person would do it.

Frankly, those stupid little dixie cups that pet stores put bettas in are cruel and horrible, but no one ever seems to care because “it’s just fish”.

The PAW Snuggle Round bed Large and XL are the same size?

FYI, amazon says these tanks are 1.5 liters, which is only 1/3 of a gallon. Bettas need at least a 1 gallon tank.

This tank is only 1/3rd the size that a betta would need to live happily. Read the reviews at amazon: the only 5 star review is from someone who’s using it to raise a baby fish that will move to a larger tank upon maturity. http://www.amazon.com/Desktop-Light-Aquarium-Clock-White/dp/B006FTH3DM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1369142668&sr=8-2&keywords=digital+desktop+aquarium

The 360º carrier…for a corgi - medium or large…!!!

So many choices!

What is the Billabong pet gate made of? Can it be used outdoors on a deck?

nope! that’s an error.
The X-Large dimensions are 30x27x6.5.
We’re working on changing that information on the sale page. Sorry for any confusion.

When in doubt with carrier size, always go with the bigger one!

Thank you to all who have already stated that the fish tank is way too small for a live fish of pretty much any kind. You are my heroes for today!

While the mini aquariums are indeed too small for fish, I think it could potentially lend itself very well to keeping freshwater shrimp!

Red Cherry Shrimp (RCS) are a hardy, versatile freshwater dwarf shrimp that will do fine at “room temperature” (68-74°F) and do not require excessive maintenance as they produce a small bio-load.

Add some small pieces of driftwood/manzanita twigs, low-light plants like Java moss, and you have a very nice desktop shrimp tank!

That is a LOVELY idea!

I just got the smallest of the animal carriers for my cat. The metal frame on the inside seems to be too big for the material cover? There are 4 metal poles hanging from the top corners that I assume are supposed to be connected but they are too long!

Two of the four have a plastic covering that is attached to a spring so it can be pulled back. I assume that the poles are then supposed to line up with the poles on the opposite side. However, with the plastic pulled back all the way, the poles are still too long to make a rectangular frame. I got them to connect diagonally but it doesn’t look right and stretches the material on the top!

Sorry if that was confusing, I wish I could include a diagram.

Is there a number in the packaging that you can call the manufacturer for some directions or help? If you need a replacement part, they’re the ones that will have it.

Ahhh HA! That’s a PERFECT idea!
I’m so tired of my Goldfish eating all my ghost shrimp.

If I could, I’d have a whole tank full of them, they are excellent janitors.
