just my opinion, but I found this Syrah wholly unremarkable when I was tasting for our wine list…
I know that’s vague - I can’t think of a better way to describe it not really “doing” anything for me um, it was very light… maybe I should shut up now.
My wife and I did a tasting at the winery last November and unfortunately did not get a chance to taste this particular wine. Beautiful winery and great people though.
I am now bummed that it wasn’t on the tasting list because I was keeping pretty good notes at the time.
“Your wine is boone’s farm, boy”
“My wine’s Kunta! Kunta Kunde!”

Yet you remark on it nonetheless
Seriously, thank you though.. a rattage is always welcome!!
pH looks a bit high, and when they mention chocolate I think ‘too ripe and not lively enough’!
EDIT, several hours …
Wow, that’s a lot of tumbleweeds I’ve seen blowing through here. It’s ripe: anyone who likes Andrew Murray Syrah have an opinion?
Kunde’s record for me is good enough to risk $15/bottle on this. I’ll see when it gets here. Am drinking the Kunde reserve cab from (WTSO offering recently).
'Twas on woot also as part of a threefor. If you like the sound of the description I’d go for it. Not bad: a hybrid style: accessible, though with balance and structure and not a fruit bomb. although not a classic ager! Good Sonoma fruit.
This Syrah looks as if it’s riper, though it has nicely moderate alcohol, despite 26.x Brix at harvest. They’re a professional, family-run but large large winery who have well-made, commercial wines, with some decent quality at the top end!

Good thing it’s only $12.50/bottle shipped then!
I’m a pass; I’m looking for more cabsav to round out my cellar - I’ve got enough stuff in there for other people already.
CT has this at an average price of $13.84/bottle and 86.3pts. Not a super dramatic woot. But is ok, week ain’t over yet!
Lack of participation by the winery doesn’t help their case

NightGhost took the night off or he would have directed you to the last offering:
Kunde Family Estate Mixed Case
Some Vineyard discussion here, and we could likely get labrattage from someone who popped the cook on the Syrah from that package.
FYP. When you’re entering your post, there’s a handy formatting guide on the bottom right.
This seemed to sellout rather fast as a case-lot. The Syrah was quoted out at $22.99 (w\o woot shipping of course)
I am holding on to about a case of syrah right now so SIWBM still holds for the new year. I do hate BTW though…,
Thank you for the tip and the link fix.

The Kunde previous offering with the cab was very nice. Curious to how the Syrah will age, how it was made, and drinking window on it.
I bought the Kunde bundle before Thanksgiving, I brought these to the family gathering no one complained. Sorry I can’t be anymore help. I’m on the fence as I’m short of funds. I would get it again if it was the bundle. And they sale these at the local Grocery store for around $20 at a discount so a good deal.

Flirting with half off! Click the link above for full discount details, links, etc.
31% discount for a wine I’ve never tried and lackluster reviews. I’m a pass.
I really enjoyed the Wellington 06 Syrah 2x2 pack that was up last year. Since the wineries are just down the road from each other maybe there are some similarities. Would love some winery participation.
