This is very timely. But what is “1200-Watt of power” in degrees?
Bit more complicated than that, (but I think the thermostat goes up to 90) 1200 watt is about 4095 BTU, so it’s more a matter of how much power it uses and how much air it can heat. (And age of home, insulation, layout of room, etc…)
Noticed there is a Lifesmart “Pro” 1200 watt at my local Menards on sale for $24 from $49… (Not sure how it compares or what pro gets you, but looks like the same instruction manual)
I generally only use the 750 watt option on the space heaters I have. So 1200 is probably “enough”. Obviously the size of the room matters.
I’m a bit confused after reading the Amazon reviews shown for this unit. The reviewers talk about a remote control but it seems this one doesn’t come with a remote. Are these the correct reviews for this exact unit?
It seems that Woot has pulled over reviews for the Lifesmart Medium Room Infrared Heater with Remote, which has 456 reviews.
If you search for this exact product on Amazon it only has 6 amazon reviews.
Not cool Woot.
Can this be used oustide in a green house?
You are correct. We’re accidentally linking to the medium heater instead of the one we’re selling.
Our backend admin is being a jerk and won’t let us remove it in a live sale. We’re working on updating it.
UPDATE: No remote on this one
Thank you. I hate when the backend admin is being a jerk. Ruins my day!
: )
Thank you cubbiecatz and ThunderThighs for clearing this up!
The ASIN (sku) has been removed. Those dratted reviews are gone.
That one with 6 reviews might be it but ours doesn’t have the red top so we’re not positive.
Bought the “Pro” model from Menards last year for a back up. Has a thermostat feature like the 1500 watt LifeSmart’s. I use 2 of the 1500 size units all season, 1 in the basement, 1 in the office. 750 watt setting, 66 to 68 degree setting, and it cycles on and off all day long without much impact on the utility bill. Just expanded the one picture, the unit looks the same as the pro.
How quiet is it?
