Microsoft Wireless Optical Elite Keyboard and Mouse
how are you getting a refund?
rma@woot.com email them and get a response in ~2 days

I got this Woot 10 days ago. It came without the batteries and the software envelope was torn open. Otherwise, the product appeared new. I was able to set it up pretty quickly, but did have to hit the “Connect” buttons on the bottoms of the mouse and keyboard a couple times. So far. no problems.

 Wow!!! This was a great buy…the mouse alone sells for $39.95

It works great & I wish I had gotten one for the office

It’s not your Grandpa’s wireless. Because that was a radio.

We’ve all seen it: some schmuck will go whole hog appointing his home office with ultramodern furnishings. It’s all brushed steel and frosted glass on Swiss-engineered casters. And then he goes and strings cables all over the place. Wires! Wires, everywhere! They take over the joint like they’re African Creeper and someone started a game of Jumanji. It’s like Charlotte’s flipping web in computer cables, and it spells out: A SLOB GAMES HERE.

A well-provisioned workspace strewn with computer cables is like a kobe steak with catsup. It’s like an Armani suit over velcro sneakers. It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife.

But hey, you don’t roll like that. You’ve got the Microsoft S51-0001 Wireless Optical Elite Keyboard and Mouse, so you get top-tier performance without wires, including tilt wheel technology, one-touch multimedia keys, customizable hot keys, and optical mouse accuracy —- all in a comfortable, ergonomic design.

Because if you want to get wired up, you’ll chew some Vivarin.

Features:

Tilt Wheel Technology: Scroll every which way—horizontally as well as vertically—through documents and Web pages. The entire wheel tilts, acts as a button, and reacts smoothly to your speed.

Longer Battery Life: Finally, a solution to the top wireless hassle. Work longer without interruption. Many users experience six months of battery life! Sadly, it’s the only kind of life these users typically get to taste.

My Favorites Hot Keys: Five customizable My Favorites Hot Keys are as easy to set as your car radio -— simply go to a Web site or file, push and hold the button, and it’s set.

Smart Receiver: Work wirelessly without intrusion. Take advantage of smart technology that automatically detects interference so you don’t have to worry about interruptions.

Wireless Freedom: Experience the convenience of wireless keyboards and mouse products, and say good-bye to clutter.

Can I still buy the wireless keyboard and mouse?

I am selling mine on Ebay here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5183978297&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

Theres still a few days left if you read this in time.
http://www.woot.com/wootinfo.aspx#q4”] I missed yesterday’s item, can I get one still?
No. Each woot.com product is discontinued at 11:59 central time monday-thursday and sunday. We may get more at a later date if we’re lucky, but we offer no guarantees, we allow no backorders, and we have no waiting / notification lists. Too bad.
I had bought two of these items and i never received them, i contact woot by email various times but never received a reply back. what do i do?

is someone going to answer this lady’s question?

i checked with service, and i’m still not sure what happened, but they’ve got a refund headed your way.
it may take 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.

I still never got my wireless mouse to work. I had to end up using my old USB optical mouse with it. My keyboard has been changing frequencies every once in a while, so I have to reconnect that. The mouse section of the keyboard doesn’t work. Neither does the Favorites buttons.

did you try installing the latest drivers from MS?

Twice. I also tried putting in different batteries, even different brands of batteries (I don’t know which brand is recommended because the ones that were supposed to be included weren’t in there).
